Works for you? All the combined blues are over 50%."
I'm not going to confirm cover colours - that's what TinEye is there for :)
Enjoy the read though - it's a lot of fun!
I'm assuming that the cover color is the edition we read, even if we need to use a different edition to determine page count?

to clarify does the author need to ONLY use the initial like E. Cummings or can their name just start with the initial like Emily Brontë?
Florence wrote: "to clarify does the author need to ONLY use the initial like E. Cummings or can their name just start with the initial like Emily Brontë?"My intention was that the name part should start with the letter, so both full names and initials should work.
I'll get the mods to tweak the wording

Mod Note:
Either would work. Noting the combined scores for your color is helpful.

That's fine.
That's fine.
You have not specifically allowed graphic novels/sequential art , but one of the books on your 80's list Batman: Year One is a graphic novel, so I wanted to double check it is ok for this task. since per the rules it can be used if allowed by the task creator.

I just finished the UNO team challenge in the GR group Perks.., which this year was 1980s themed. We had a lot of fun with the great films, books, music and fashion of the decade, but it means I'm kinda over the 80s now!
The UNO challenge involves looking for colour covers that meet certain criteria. Inevitably as soon as UNO is over all the impossible to find combinations start springing up everywhere!
Option 1: (Two book option) pick two different tasks and read one book for each
Option 2: (One book option) pick two tasks and read one book that meets the requirements of both
Required: State the options.
For both options, your combined page total must be at least 500 pages
Task A: The biggest "fun" in the game is finding books with the right colour cover.
Read a book that is at least 50% (as per TinEye) Red, Yellow, Green or Blue. Complete directions for using Tineye can be found here: How Do I Use Tineye?
required: Post the cover and TinEye scores.
Task B: Each book must meet a criteria (title or author initial) associated with the card numbers, the most challenging being the cards 5, 7 and 8 (the letters I, V and E respectively)
Read a book written by a single author who has a name part that starts with the initial (any name part will work) I, V or E. ex. Isaac Asimov, Maria V. Snyder
Task C: Whilst the putative aim of the game is to talk books and reduce our TBRs, inevitably we all end up adding more based on recommendations. This is aided and abetted by the Reverse card, where we have to read a book read by one of our team mates.
Read a book from my 80s shelf
