Titles that have *not* yet by the group/ suggestions
I just finished a time travel book that is copyrighted 2021 and it was great! It's called Faye, Faraway.
A woman (Faye) travels back to see her mother and is now older than her mother, but there is an instant connection between the two. Faye, the main character sees herself as a young child but also sees her mother from an adult point of view, sort of anyway, since it's hard to think of your mother in any other way than as your mother.
This one had it all with a surprise ending as well ! ! !
Saturday, The Twelfth Of October My review:Impressive. This would actually be darn good for adult fans of Time Travel SF to read. And fans of Clan of the Cave Bear, for that matter. There is a clue that Mazer, she of the 'issues' novels, wrote it, in that a big concern is how a society responds to women's menstruation, esp. to ritual (or lack thereof) attached to a teen's first blood. But it's about a lot more than that.
It's even got a philosophical thing going on that has nothing to do with the multiple themes of 'civilized' vs. 'primitive' lifestyles. I particularly liked the 'eye-contact' game Zan played in the beginning in NYC. I was particularly disturbed by her mother's inattentiveness to her questions and concerns. And I think the ending, especially, would be terrific fodder for group discussions.
So, yes, I do recommend it for groups, whether of older 'tweens, of teens, or of adults."
If we were to read The End of Eternity some of us might also want to watch a Russian film of it. Just over an hour, and subtitled: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrqwF...Edit: We did read this, Feb 2022. I don't think anyone watched the movie, though.
Do You Realize? by Kevin A. Kuhn because I want to reread it, especially after seeing my husband finally do so and him giving it four stars.Edit. We read this Nov./Dec. 2022. I reread it and enjoyed it just as much as the first time, and the few others who found a copy enjoyed it, too.
What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon. I really enjoyed this book as not only does it have time travel but also an element of historical fiction. Two of my favorite genres all in one!
I like The Perfect Run by Maxime J Durand, it's more fast paced action, the character arcs are so good!

Landline by Rainbow Rowell was a good one.
Time Travelling with a Hamster, This Time Tomorrow, and Wrong Place Wrong Time get good reviews.

This was free today on Amazon Kindle:Crying in Dreams (Adam Young Book 1) Kindle Edition
by Jerry Hart (Author) Format: Kindle Edition
4.2 out of 5 stars 53 ratings
Book 1 of 5: Adam Young
Adam Young is a guy in his mid-thirties with a dead-end job, no wife or kids. All he has are his soundtracks and his roommates. Just as he's starting to accept his lot in life, he finds a YouTube video by a woman who claims she's discovered the secret to time-travel. Adam finds the possibility too tempting to ignore, but with time-travel comes important rules ... rules he finds difficult to follow.
Has anyone read this series? It sounded intriguing.

Time Travelling with a Hamster sound kinda fun. I like breaking up my reading with some light hearted / childrens stories so may check this out.

I just ran across my review for The Big Time by Fritz Leiber. I implied that there's lots to discuss in the book, so I'll add it to the list above.
I just finished One Italian Summer by Rebecca Searle for an in-person book club and it had time travel in it. It was a quick read. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Kiersten Marcil (Editor)
Welcome to The Accidental Time Travelers Collective, Volume 1, featuring twelve short stories by an international group of speculative fiction authors who share a common love of time travel. Each story ventures into the realm of alternate possibilities (or impossibilities). The stories range from whimsical to technical, thrilling to uplifting. Some will make you laugh. Others will touch you in surprising ways. All offer an adventure into tantalizing futures and haunting pasts.
I'm reading this and enjoying it. I don't recall seeing it on the read list of the group. Invisible Footprints in Time? by Irwin Wislesky https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... I think it would make for some interesting discussion.
Does not sound familiar. I'll add that and the children's Time Slip novel, Adam's Common, to the list up top now. Thanks!
Another children's novel, contemporary AAPI family story, that is worth a look is A Spoonful of Time by Flora Ahn.
Maybe some month I should say that the book has to come from the above list, as it's getting so long!

Scharlette Doesn't Matter and Goes Time Travelling
Scharlette Kills 99% of Germs
Lizz found Novikov Windows: A Time Travel Novel by Chris Cosmain for free on Amazon:In the year 1996, David Singh, a time traveller from the future, coaxes a group of experts to the desolate farmstead of Blackwell's Rest in remote Australia. He achieves this by showing each recruit an object which convinces them beyond doubt to follow him.
Their mission is to construct a time machine using advanced wormhole-generating and quantum computing technology sent to them from the future. However, as the group begin their task, they learn a grim truth.
Events of the past and future are unalterable. Free will is an illusion. Travelling back in time with knowledge of one's own future, yet not being able to change anything, can pose an immeasurable psychological burden. This is a Novikov Window, the scenario of being trapped within an unalterable sequence of events, like a passive actor living in a play scripted by fate.
To avoid Novikov Windows, knowledge about the future is closely guarded, breeding suspicion and manipulation amongst the team. Some refuse to accept their lack of control and attempt to alter history. What begins as a thrilling scientific adventure takes a dark turn as the group is faced with increasingly difficult and unethical missions.
Torn apart by their moral and ideological differences, the community frays and each individual struggles to find a sense of purpose and redemption. How can they find hope in the face of impossible decisions, in a universe where there are no choices?
(Have not added anything from msg 38 on to list on top of thread. Will start a new list soon as that one is getting just too unwieldy.)
Hi I have three recommendations:
The Impossible Times Trilogy by Mark Lawrence (One Word Kill, Limited Wish, Dispel Illusion)
Replay by Ken Grimwood
Fallen Dragon by Peter F Hamilton (more space opera but with time travel thrown in)
We've read Replay twice.I'll add Fallen Dragon to the above list after making sure it's ok.
I'd prefer not to add series, but maybe that's just me. So, yeah, One Word Kill, if it's not been read.
(too sick to research now, maybe someone else can confirm those two are new to the group)
