I’m so jealous that you’re going through the In Death series! You’re at a really good place.
I hope you’re liking The Good Sister. It was great on audio.
Enjoy everything!

Thank Jonetta. I feel like I've been reading those In Death books forever, but I do enjoy them. I just started this book and it's pretty good.Yes, I like The Good Sister so far. I just never know how Fern will respond to a question. It's quite entertaining.
You are making fantastic progress with In Death, Robin! I know what you mean about feeling like you've been reading them forever. it took me just over 4 years to read the entire series, lol!
Happy reading!
Happy reading!
Robin is this your first time reading the In Death books? I often turn the audio on at night and listen to a favorite in the series. Enjoy your reading.
Thanks Lauren and Sharon!I actually started this series about the time the 5th book was released. I read the first couple of books and got side-tracked. A few years later I read the first books again and kept on going. I usually only read 2 or 3 books in this series a year. I notice a lot of the same phrases that NR uses for these books. All authors probably do the same thing, but I really notice it with these books. So I usually put four or five months between books so I don't notice it as much.
It's not really rinse and repeat writing but it could bother some. For me it's almost like continuation and thus comforting I suppose, the repetition.I will admit I wouldn't want it with any of my other series.
Anyway. Enjoy you reading.
I listened to
The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth. Jonetta, Thanks for the recommendation. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

That's why reading one a month was perfect for me. Enough time to tone down the repetition and not enough to forget the previous book.

I noticed a lot of phrases and favorite words when I did my binge read at the beginning of the year. She doesn't do that as much after New York to Dallas. In the beginning "legion" was her favorite adjective. LOL

(And, I've noticed that it wasn't mentioned so far in the book I'm currently reading.) Also, when Eve is thinking about how the murder went down, she thinks in short choppy sentences. It's probably realistic, but it throws me out of the story for a while.
