Alrighty, so Lucie & Philip hated each other when they were younger. If they weren't arguing, they gave each other the silent death treatment.
My dad always saw this & laughed: "This always happens. Listen, one day Philip, you & Lucia are not gonna see each other for a long time. Then a while later, Philip is gonna come back from the military & come visit Simi. While he's here, he'll see you again Lucia. He'll see Lucia as a woman, a hot model chick, & Lucia will fall for Philip the hot army guy, & you two will forget the past, hit it off, & get married."
Needless to say, Philip & Lucia were screaming in horror.
