I didn’t care for Calculating Stars and haven’t been planning to continue the series. Should I give Relentless Moon a chance? Do I need to read the middle one first?

And as a result, we got The City in the Middle of the Night, which was IMHO the weakest book on an otherwise spectacular ballot.
@MH: well that's a case of personal taste. For me "The City in the Middle of the Night" was the strongest book on that list while 3 others there only got 3 or less stars in my rating.@Kristenelle: I've read "The Relentless Moon" without having read the second book and had no problems following the story.
