Bristol and Grip chemistry was off the charts. The struggles they had to go through not just Bristol insecurities, prejudice, learning to walk in each other shoes. This was a story of self discovery for both of them with a lot of intrigued, drama and love. I would definitely recommend this book!

I really wanted to like this book, but I knew going into it that it had a trope I don't like at all. I liked some aspects of the book, but there were some that I just wasn't ok with. I ended up pretty much skimming the book from about 85% on.

Rating/Review: 4.5⭐ After reading the blurb, I knew I was not heading into an easy book but I don't think I was prepared for what this book puts you through. What the MFC, Iris, had to suffer and how she tried to protect her daughter was heartbreaking. August was so sweet and protective, I loved him. The romance was a slow burn and beautifully written. I loved the book, however, I wouldn't recommend it to people who find triggering stories with domestic violence and rape.

Rating/Review: 2⭐ This was an ok read, nice to continue learning more about the characters in the previous books and what they are up to, but the romance felt very undeveloped and lots of telling rather than showing. I don't like when the story moves from I hate you to I love you in one night without any development and everyone is ok with it...and unfortunately, this book suffers from this. Some of the events that should have been shown in the book are just mentioned quickly once they have happened, which gives you the feeling that the story lacks any depth and that it could have been so much better. One of the other things I didn't like was that the epilogue includes a specific mention of a HEA for a book that is coming next in the series which makes me feel less motivated towards reading it. My favourite part of the book was Demi's relationship with her father but I would have happily sacrificed that whole part if those pages were dedicated to the main relationship.

This new series is very creative with the main characters with special gifts to ride the shadows and seek out justice the system can't touch. Nicollett was given to her step uncles after her parents died and was abused and on the verge of suicide when she met Taviano and his family who gave her great foster parents and all the help she needed to grow. Taviano and Nicollett were two tortured souls that
there shadows intertwine so tight that there love was inevitable.
This was a very creative, exciting, dramatic, traumatic, and romantic story. I highly recommend this series!

My love for the characters continues growing and the world-building amazes me, one of my favourite things from the series. We get answers but also more mysteries! So many things happened in the book and the plot gets better and better. There is only one wrong that keeps bugging me that I hope it gets fixed in the next book. I can't wait!!

I adore this series! The Kincade sisters are fierce and independent. This book is Brexton and Drew's story. Childhood friends torn apart by sins of the father. He was content in his life and didn't want the complication of a woman. Even if she was beautiful and everything that he needed in his life. This was the case of the woman chasing the guy. Not my favorite, I want the guy to do the chasing lol. Overall it was a cute and steamy read! Will continue on with the series at some point.
