I felt exactly the same way.

And way to go team! We should have a new task when MKat gets back from her Covid vaccination.

I’ll keep checking. Don’t want to start another book just now.

Thanks Hazel! I'm peeking in on a break at work right now. I'll check again before I leave for the day.

Task 2 - 6. Read 4 books with fewer than 500 reviews.
Each of you selects a book with fewer than 500 reviews - not ratings! You can find this number on the main book page under the title. Please include the number of reviews in your completion posts. If the book might go over 500 reviews while you are reading, if it has over 490 reviews already for example, a screenshot would be advisable. 😊
Sorry for the extra delay, there was a snafu at the vaccination site and our appointments were delayed a couple of hours, but that is better than a couple of days!

I'll be back shortly with my pick.

It currently has 79 reviews.

Sorry to hear that. Hope it heals fast.

Review: This was probably 3.5 stars for the read and half a star for the memories - I read all the original Nero Wolfe books as a teenager. This book channeled those pretty well - it was neat to check out this author.
Oh no, Hazel! That sucks. I'm so sorry you're going through that. :(

Noah wakes up in a cabin in Colorado with no memory of who he is or who the guy at the cabin with him could be. Despite Jason's care and affection, Noah feels something unsettling about him and knows that there is more to their story than Jason is willing to reveal.
I enjoyed this one. I figured out most of the twists and turns early and easily, but I think that may have actually increased my ability to just sit back and savor the story as it unfolded. There are a couple of times the story drags unnecessarily but overall it was a nice romantic mystery.

A 20 year old falls in love with a 40 year old and ends up pregnant. I have read books like this and have enjoyed them. This one not so much. It was all over the place. Even the end was don poorly.

Review: This was a great easy to read romance with Gabe who is anti kids and suffering from writers block meeting single mum Rae who hates music/musicians due to past experience.

Lol! I'm actually surprised yours doesn't have more since that is a much loved series. I think more people have recommended that series to me than any other book of all time. :D

This was the final installment in the Lux series and it was just kind of "meh" for me. The whole thing could have been cut down to about 100 pages and tacked on to the end of the previous book. Also, I know these are horny high school kids, but they're frequently in the middle of serious, run-for-your life, life-or-death situations but stop for sexy times or dirty talk WAY too often for the environment they're in. It was cringey and took away from the "fighting against world invasion" action that was propelling the rest of the story.

What a good book. It had a lot of twist and turns. The boy next door who she thought she hated. Ended up at the same college as him and they became close when she lost her mom and step dad. Then fell in love.

I've read this series off and on - usually a year or so between books. I'm not sure why, because when I pick one up, I laugh a lot The main character has such an attitude, and there were lots of silly events. And the grandma is hilarious.

Review: A continuation of the mortal instruments series. At first I was confused until I started remembering what had happened in the previous book. There are more demonic happenings and Simon struggles with being a vampire and his place among the Clave. Jace and Clary have tension in their relationship but all is solved at the end. I thought I would be bored of this series by now but after getting back on track with the story it was a good read.
