I'm surprised at how many books I KNOW are set in Texas, but it isn't in the precis or metadata. Mariana Zapata's books for one. Some of Colleen Hoover's as well.
Anyway, I'm going to read

I am a HUGE astronaut/space junkie so I really enjoyed this story about a shuttle commander on a mission and his CAPCOM on the ground. I would have liked to see a lot more of them together once Curt returned to earth after his mission. Also, the ridiculous use of real life people with minor name changes, such as the astrophysicist "Neal DeGlasse Bryson" (SERIOUSLY?!?! UGH!) almost made me put the book down completely.

Note: I'm at my dads for the weekend - and I'm guessing I won't finish this today, but I'll have it done tomorrow sometime. I THINK the earliest we can get new tasks is Monday (i.e. not tomorrow)? If that is incorrect, let me know, and I'll push more to get it done.

It was RIDICULOUS! Not only was there Neal DeGlasse Bryson, but also Bill McCann the Science Man (a science show educator of course), and late night talk show host Owen O'Brien. Yet, she used the real names for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. It really took away from an otherwise good story.

I started one this morning tagged magic that is 300 pages. I can look for another when its done in case we end up short on pages.

Yeah, that's super distracting to the story - too eye-rolling.

It was an ok book. It got better toward the end.

Suzanne I just read my 2nd Ilona Andrews book and really need to prioritise reading more as I’ve really enjoyed the first 2 in the legacy series.

Task 11 - 78. Read 6 books with alliteration in the title or author's name.
Books selected for this task need to have alliteration in the title or authors name. Small words such as 'and' or 'in' will be allowed between the alliterated words in a title. So books such as Devoted in Death and Spook Squad would work. Also authors such as Julie James and Lucy Lennox would qualify. Please include whether you are using the author or title as your qualifier in your completion posts.
I started Where We Went Wrong last night but only got through the prologue. So I'm going to re-read that part tonight so it'll count. :D
I can volunteer for a second one too, since we need 6. I have a different audio book that I'm finishing up today on my commute and can start Meet Cute by Helena Hunting as soon as it's done. I need to read it for another challenge anyway.

Great story about the friendship that develops between 13-yr-old Max, who has just moved to Belgium from Washington, DC and the 14-yr-old Syrian refugee, Ahmed, hiding out in the wine cellar of his house. Once Max discovers that Ahmed is in his home, he does everything he can to make sure Ahmed is safe, warm, and fed while terrorist attacks are happening all around them, filling the people of Belgium (and the rest of the world) with fear and prejudice. Joining Max in his efforts are some wonderful side characters. If I was still teaching, I'd be adding this one to my lessons.
