Task 1 - Green Cover
Borrowing Blue (Made Marian, #1) by Lucy Lennox
Borrowing Blue by Lucy Lennox
307 pages/GR
How it fits: Green cover (approved by Mkat)
Completed 3/16
Rating: 5 stars
Review:
This book is just a whole lot of fun. It's a great introduction to the family and all the craziness surrounding them. I like both Blue and Tristan as MC's. Could do without the whole villain ex wife thing though.

Diane | 875 comments Completion Post -- Task 1 -- Green Cover

Book: Forging the Future by Mary Calmes

Forging the Future (Change of Heart, #5) by Mary Calmes
Pages: 174 or 200 (both listed as first Kindle Ed)
How it fits: Green cover
Completed: March 16
Rating: 4 stars
Review: I don't know why I took so long (years!) to get around to reading this fifth and final book of the series. It was a good story, with a great ending for all the characters. I think perhaps it was the amnesia trope that it started with that kept me back. However, I actually quite enjoyed it. Mary Calmes has created a very interesting world and mythos for her panther shifter society. My only complaint would be that it felt like it was bogged down a little with all the terminology for the various jobs and positions.

Diane | 875 comments Hey, for those of you who have played before, what happens now? I think we wait until everyone posts a completion, but then what? Is there a standard wait time before the next task? How does that actually work?

message 58: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Sorry for the mishap. Will go and look for a different book asap.

message 59: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Does it have to be the cover of the edition I read or can it be another cover? Because I would read the fire's stone by Tanya Huff It is on the green cover list but only the paperback has the green cover. My edition has a red cover.

message 60: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments If that doesn't work I'll read Borrowing Blue. Might need a few days for it tho as I have to work a bit more at the moment.

I'm going to ask, but since we are going by the first kindle edition I don't think it should be a problem.

When everyone has posted their completions, I or someone else will post it in the announcement chat and then Mkat will give us a new task. I think she does it every second day or something like that.

Please don´t tell me it isn´t enough. I don´t want to read a third book for this task.

Ok so I can start another book before that.

message 82: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31597 comments How tasks are handed out is really pretty simple. When you finish a task, I will assign the next task the next time I get to my computer to confirm it unless you finish the task in one day. For example, the first task was assigned on the 15th, you finished today so I will give you your next task in just a minute. The soonest you can get your next task is the 22nd, so if you finish Task 2 tomorrow you would have to wait a day. If you finish Task 2 on the 22nd or later, you would get Task 3 the next time I get to my computer. (I do ask for 24 hours to confirm and assign tasks should I ever get a life again...) So tasks can be assigned every second day for your team or longer depending on when you finish the current task.

I hope I explained that well!

message 83: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31597 comments Here is your next task!

Task 2 - 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.

You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it. Please include the person who recommended your selected book and the message number of link to the recommendation.

message 84: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments This is one of the things we didn't get to beforehand. So I would say that it's easier to just go for a recommendation for the person below you on the list.

So:
Me rec for Helke
Helke for Em
Em for Diane
Diane for Me

What do you guys say?

message 85: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments I would like it if we could rec 3 books each for the team and we all can chose from that list. Of course not the books we recommended but from all the other recs. That way we have a bit of leeway to find a book we might like to read.

message 88: by Emilienne (new)

Emilienne (petitnez) | 313 comments So let me have a look of what I read and liked and post three book for you all (if I have a correct understanding)

message 89: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Ok I'll try to be gentle;).

Death and destruction by Patricia Logan ( LE, mystery, action)

Inherit the sky by Ariel Tachna (outback Australia, farmer, contemporary)

Hope you like at least one of these.

message 90: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments Okay so I've been going through my favorite shelf and been trying to find some books that you guys might enjoy...

Surreal Estate - A psychic that can "talk" to houses!!

I hope you can find something good here.
