Diane | 875 comments I found a couple that I am very happy to read for 2017 if we are all in agreement!

Emilienne (petitnez) | 313 comments Hi guys, I do not have notifications anymore, that sucks.
Do you have them?

message 203: by Emilienne (new)

Emilienne (petitnez) | 313 comments I'm good with any year, let me know!

message 204: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments I get them but not for all my threads.

message 205: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments I get mine a little whenever lol. I don't know how to explain it, it's weird.

message 206: by Diane (new)

Diane | 875 comments I am still getting all my notifications so my email is generally filled with them now that I am in 3 challenges.

message 207: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Oh I never chose email as I get so many emails from author's and publishers. I have so many newsletters because of prolific works so this would get annoying fast.

message 208: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments Have we decided on 2017? I'm about to start my book if that's the case.

message 209: by Diane (new)

Diane | 875 comments Helke hasn't confirmed yet, but the rest of us are good for it.

message 210: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments I will cope. Go for it.

Diane | 875 comments Just FYI, I am putting off reading a Gregory Ashe book to read this one!! ((The Same Breath) I am over 50% through it.

message 213: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Yesterday was the first day in a long long time I didn't read one page. Am at my parents and hubby and I built a walkway around the house yesterday. Every muscle aches but we got it finished. 💪

message 214: by Diane (last edited Apr 08, 2021 05:37AM) (new)

Diane | 875 comments So great you got to see them and help them Helke. It must be such a relief to actually be able to DO SOMETHING positive for them!

message 215: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments That’s awesome Helke!

I have finished my book. I absolutely did not like it 😂

Review: OMG, this totally hit all my feels -- MCs dealing with autism and social anxiety/depression who overcome so much to help themselves and others like them. What a beautiful sequel to the first book.

That's too bad, Gustaf. I really enjoyed mine, which was why I couldn't put it down. Don't know why I didn't read it years ago. Also, I noticed the author promised another book or two in the series (at the end of the book) in 2018, but I don't see them attached to this series, so maybe not written.

She didn't publish anything in 2018 and then went on to publish her doctor's series in 2019. So maybe it just didn't hit? I don't know.

This started out really great. Fantastic even. I love myself some cowboys and Simon was an interesting character right away. Simon is loving his life on the family farm, in fact he can't think of anything he would rather do. However, he's lonely. Being gay in Wyoming doesn't leave him with a lot of options and everything he wants is someone to have a life with. Build a family with. Enter Sean. Sean moved to Wyoming to get away from his parent. Together with his twin brother he's operating a thriving architect firm. He's sworn to never date a client but it's hard when he gets hired to draw some building for Simon and his family.

So far, so good. I was all there for it. Loved the setting, the MC's and the secondary characters. Sadly, it all went downhill from Simon and Sean meeting each other. And I mean, down, downhill. Not just a little. Suddenly everything changed. We got a time jump a month in the future and got told about Simon and Sean getting to know each other after it happened. And the time jumps just kept on coming. "Summer turned to spring", "two weeks later", "three weeks later", etc, etc. Around the 40% mark our MC's was together and steadier than ever. And I was silently wondering what would happen in the rest of the book. Turns out I don't need to read the rest of the books in the series (not that I was planning to either way), because I got everything told in this book but from the perspective of Simon and Sean.

Basically, this could've been a five star read but what started out great turned out feeling more like amateur fan fiction. This is an edited version... I can't imagine what it must have been reading the first version. However, just like a car crash I couldn't look away and finished this in one go. I'll give the author that

I've heard good things about it!

message 223: by Diane (new)

Diane | 875 comments I have read it and quite enjoyed. Just noticed the page number is 240 so could be used in the Hunt for cat 2? Is that the one with a 4 and 2 in page count?

message 224: by Helke (new)

Helke (mogelpackung) | 695 comments Not sure which number.ber the cat has. Finished my book. Will post later as I'm on my phone now.
As usual I loved it. Sadly T.A. Moors only wrote 2 books for this series. I would love to have more.

message 232: by Emilienne (new)

Emilienne (petitnez) | 313 comments Hi guys, I'm sorry I didn't come here before.
Gustaf, as we said, I'll pass this task to allow us to go to the next.
I'll be able to read for this one because I'll cancell this other challenges.
With only on going on, it should be easier for me.
I do apologise for not saying anything before guys.

message 233: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31597 comments In this challenge, when someone passes the task still needs to be completed by the rest of the team. So in this case, you are still short 220 pages short of completion. However, I will make an exception for this one. 😊

message 234: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31597 comments Here is your next task!

Task 7 - 1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.

As a team select an author, then everyone reads a book by the selected author. Please include the selected author in your completion posts. Pseudonyms are acceptable.

Review: I honestly wasn't looking forward to another amnesia story (I had just finished another one for another challenge), but I found this one to be so sweet. Justin is hit by a truck and loses all memory of the last 5 years, when he met, fell in love and started living with Dallas. Dallas is so patient and sweet and stays by his side through weeks of recovery that Justin starts to fall in love with him all over again. There is no anger and raging, no fear, just love and patience. Gonna read the next one for sure!

How it fits: Written by N.R. Walker
