I can't for the life of me remember author or title, it was a possibly Christian science fiction/time travel or possibly computer simulation series, protagonist visited ancient egypt in the first book which was red with a sphinx on cover, second book may have been medieval themes and blue. Possibly published by Tommy Nelson, i have a vague memory of the logo on the back cover. I know it wasn't by Frank Peretti, and i believe it predated Ted Dekker
