Mrunal is having an existential crisis

I relate. 😭
In sooth, I know not why I am so sad. It wearies me; you say it wearies you; But how I caught it, found it, or came by it, What stuff 'tis made of, whereof it is born, I am to learn; And such a want-wit sadness makes of me, That I have much ado to know myself. - Line 1, Page 1, Antonio, The Merchant of Venice, William Shakespeare.
Me: me too friend, me too.

Translation: Truly, I do not know why I feel so sad. The feeling makes me depressed, and you say that it makes you depressed too. Where I had the feeling from, fount it, or got it, and what it consists of and how it originated, I have yet to know. The depression makes me such a dull fellow, that I fail to know who I am.
and also the paragraph where Bassanio agrees that Gratiano talks a lot and nothing he says makes sense.
Mrunal wrote: "and also the paragraph where Bassanio agrees that Gratiano talks a lot and nothing he says makes sense."and also the one where Shylock says that Launcelot Gobbo speaks senseless words. That is the only dialogue of Shylock that I like.
I don't know why schools make us read these classics. I mean they're great but when you read it by yourself, not when a teacher reads it monotonously in front of a very noisy class.
I want to re-read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

ohh i hate it when that happens.
i guess you could just stop reading it... but i personally always feel obligated to finish a book i started, or even the whole series haha
No, I can't stop reading it because of the very same reason. I have already dnf'd two books. I can not dnf one more.
yeah i understand that... do you think putting it on hold for a while will make it better? like reading a few other things in between?
Marie wrote: "yeah i understand that... do you think putting it on hold for a while will make it better? like reading a few other things in between?"Maybe it can... what do you think?
i personally never tried it, i always pushed myself to read the books i didn't like as fast as possible in order to get over with it. however, an irl friend of mine has put several books on hold and picked them up later on and for her it really worked!
Marie wrote: "yeah i understand that... do you think putting it on hold for a while will make it better? like reading a few other things in between?"I’ve personally done that a lot of times, I think it will work. Maybe read something you know you’ll enjoy meanwhile. :)
go for it! also let me know whether it helps :)haha willpower/iron discipline is something i've to thank my perfectionism for

Yes I agree. You should put the book on hold of you don't want to dnf it.But if I'm liking a book, I dnf it. (Provided it wasn't a physical copy)
