SOLVED. Juvenile Scary Stories anthology. Hide and Seek with a woman: if she can't find you, you can marry her, but if she finds you then she kills you. [s]

I am trying to find an anthology of scary stories I read as a kid. It has similar vibes to "Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" with pictures and whatnot, but the stories were a bit longer and more detailed. I can only vaguely remember two of the stories:

1. One was a story about hide and seek. There was a rich woman (possibly a princess?) that would give you three chances to hide. If she didn't find you, then you could marry her, but if she did find you.. she killed you. The trick was she had a magic tool (I think a ring or something) where she could look in and see where you were hiding. The story follows a boy who helps and befriends animals in the wood, who then help him to hide. The woman/princess can't find him the first two tries, but the story ends with her finding him the third time when he's hiding under her floor.

2. The story follows a father and son having issues with the mother/wife. I think it ends that the wife is a vampire living in the barn.
