Hi folks!

The time has come to choose your book selections for your March read in the PIFM challenge.

The rules are:-

* You can choose any number of books up to a maximum of 10.

* Please, only ONE MESSAGE per member. That means NO REPLYING or CHATTING in this thread.

* Once you have made your selection and posted, when your votes start to come in you can then add your votes cast by other members beneath your book titles ie. the following might be how my list would look:-

The Ties That Bind - Erin Kelly
x 1 - Christine

Hidden - Emma Kavanagh
x 1 - Sue
x 1 - Pat

How you post is your choice, you can link, do pictures, the above is just an example. The key is that you stick with the one message and update it as the votes come in. Your list can be placed as of 1st FEBRUARY.

I don't want to spoil anyone's fun so please don't take this personally.

Can I respectfully ask that everyone refrains from chatting here, we just want to see pages of lists to make this process run smoothly for everyone taking part and for those just wanting to peruse. Otherwise, as we know from past experience, chaos reigns!!!

Thanks all.

Here's what I typed up for Freda the other day:

Go through your To Be Read books and pick 5-10 of them that you'd like to read during the following month, in this case, March. Post that list (better to use a link or book cover) in a message here:

While you're in that thread, look at the lists from the other participants and pick a book for each person. I find it easier to list them on a piece of paper and write down the book I select for them. Then type in your votes, all in one message, in this thread:

After giving people a chance to review your list and post their votes, go back to the second thread and look at everyone's votes to find what they voted for you. This will take some time so that everyone gets to vote, so you just regularly check. Then you go back to the first thread above and EDIT your one post to show who voted for which book. Again, easier to make notes on paper first.

As new lists get put in the first thread, you figure out your vote and EDIT your post in the second thread and add that person's name and book. Note that some alphabetize and some don't. Some are in order of who posted first. No problem.

I think when you review the threads, you'll catch on. If it's easier, use my two posts, one in each thread, as an example. My list in the first thread is Message #3 and my votes in the second thread are in Message #3 (purely coincidence that they are the same number!).

All the chatting and banter and joking around has its own thread here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Hope that helps! Let me know if I can answer any questions!
