The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
Pages: 288

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is definitely a good book to start 2021 with .... First of all, the writing was just awesome, I mean the way the author explained about all that Quantum mechanics, was so simple ...it was easy to understand.
And when it comes to story , even though it was a bit predictable, I enjoyed it .
The lessons it taught us about life ....they are worth a read. It makes us understand that life is worth living even though it can be a bitch sometimes....
I really loved it and you all should give it a try.

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins
Pages: 374

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Woww....This book is just amazing. From the writing to plot... everything is perfect. I can't believe I didn't read this book till now. I love Katniss and Peeta. But I really wanted Rue to be alive till the last..... She was such a brave little girl.
I am really excited to read the next book Catching Fire... Hope I will get more scenes of Gale. I don't really like love triangles but I think this one is going be interesting.

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins
Pages: 391

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was just mind-blowing 🤯. There were so many plot twists that I couldn't stop reading . Ahh! I really can't wait to read the last book but at the same time I don't want this series to end . The writing and the ideas of 75th hunger games and everything was so good...
I really hate the Capitol ...I am waiting to see their end in the next book . And I really hope all the characters will get a happy ending. And I am seriously excited to see what kind of surprises district 13 holds.

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins
Pages: 398

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The book was good but didn't reach my expectations. I liked the first 2 books of the series more. And I didn't really like the ending ..... because few characters didn't get the ending they deserved.
But the author did a great job emphasizing the cruel nature of humans and how wars can destroy us.

I also added the first book that's on here to my to-read list because it looks really good :D
That's all, happy reading!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Pages: 483

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this book . The characters are so relatable. I loved every one , Cath, Levi, Wren, Reagan. It explained clearly how it feels to be a fangirl, how it's like to live in the fictional world and love those fictional characters . Even though it's a world created by someone else, we love it like it's our own ..sometimes love it more than the real world 😂
Cath and Levi are so cutee... I think they are perfect for each other , like Cath is so lost in fictional world that she needs someone like Levi to get her back to the real one. Cath and Wren's relationship is like just any other twin's that I read ....but it was still nice . And of course Reagan ....is Reagan .
Simon and Baz...they were just as important as Cath or Levi. Sometimes I got so caught up in their story that I totally forgot about the actual story . I am really going to read Carry On next ....I want more of Simon and Baz.

Carry On (Simon Snow, #1) by Rainbow Rowell
Pages: 522

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ok, I can't stop smiling!!!!! Everything I love is there in this book :Harry Potter vide (with spells much easier to understand 😂),haters to lovers story and all those scenes which gives me butterflies.
Starting was a bit boring but once Baz made his appearance..... it was dope.
And of course I love Simon, Baz and Penny and even Agatha . The trio of snow, baz and Pen is jus awesome . I especially love the fact that Baz was in love with Simon since ages☺️.

This book was just dope. Most of the story is set in America....and we get American evil creatures and even American spells 😂. We even get an American normal .... Shepard.
I really hope Simon and Baz wil get through everything and have a happy ending. I am thinking Shepard may end up with Penelope. I can't wait to read the next book( but I don't want the series to end 😭)

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Pages: 440

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was such a beautiful story. It has everything a historical fiction book should have . The story was thought provoking, beautiful and just extraordinary.
The story described what women had to go through, when men were out there, fighting in wars…They had to go through those tough times without knowing whether their loved ones are alive or not …whether they will be alive when they come back ( if they will ever come back ) whether they can keep their children and elder ones, alive. They were raped , they were taken advantage of , they were mistreated…but despite all that , they fought , they fought for their family , for their children, for their husbands and lovers , for the whole damn country.
It was so nice to see Isabelle and Vianne fighting for their country. Though they were very different from each other , they shared a similar goal. While reading, half of the time I was crying ...it just broke me .
It's a MUST READ book .

Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles
Pages: 368

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As the title says, Alex and Brit have perfect chemistry. I enjoyed this book.
Though stories like these are unrealistic and predictable, they sure are fun to read. I mean who doesn't like to read a story of good girl falling for bad guy and the bad guy trying to be a better person for her.
Alex and Brit had their own problems...demons to deal with. It was so nice to see how they fought their demons together and ended up falling in love with each other.

Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry #2) by Simone Elkeles
Pages: 336

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There are no rules for attraction...it's something which happens without any warning, just like in the case of Carlos and Kiara. Just like Perfect Chemistry, this story was romantic and sweet (of course a bit unrealistic)
And all that gang stuff and villians made this story more spicy. We even get bromance between Alex and Carlos ....they both are such heartthrobs. And I especially like Kiara ...she is different from other female main characters, she sure knows how to take a challenge.

Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry, #3) by Simone Elkeles
Pages: 319

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow!! It was so good to see the Fuentes brothers together, all grown up and needless to mention, deeply in love.
Luis might be my fav Fuentes brother. He has that cool, patient side and also all that bad-gang-boy side. He is funny and like his brothers, an adrenaline junkie and is devoted to his family and lover.
Nikki on the other hand is sassy and brave. She may have trust issues but she really is the best Luis can ever have.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Perfect Chemistry series, it had both romance and bromance.. and hell lot of hot and steamy scenes.
P.S: chain reaction cover is my favourite one of the three books.

Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay
Pages: 676

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tigana is one of the best books I ever read!!!
This was my first time reading a standalone fantasy book and something of this type of writing. Actually, the story was quite confusing during the first 3 chapters ...but as the story went, it just blew my mind!!!
The writing was beautiful. The author's choice of words, the way he framed the sentences and his proses were just wonderful. (Although I had to read few pharas 2 or 3 times to understand them completely.)
When it comes to characters, all of them had their own uniqueness and background stories which formed their personalites. I loved all the good ones and hated the bad ones. However, each and every character were important to the storyline. Devin and Baerd are my favorite characters.

The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper
Pages: 314

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was a lovely story.
It was interesting to see Cal, a 17 years old boy, effect the Orpheus project ( the one that is taking men to Mars). He is an amazing reporter who is trying to tell people what really is happening around them. The story also emphasises the fakeness of the reality shows and that there is nothing real in them. The author also talked about mental health, like Cal's mom suffers from anxiety and Leon from depression. But the way the author showed how they overcame their problems was just amazing.
Apart from being a good reporter, Cal is hopelessly romantic.... He and Leon are so good together. They have that easy connection and perfect chemistry. I especially liked that this book didn't have am-i-gay?/is-he-gay? drama.
And the cover is so beautiful...it basically tells what the story is about. (I know that's what covers are supposed to do)
Overall I enjoyed reading the book.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
Pages: 242

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So..I don't really know how to describe this book. The writing, characters and the story line were sometimes irritating and other times interesting.
At starting, I kind of didn't like the book because everything was so sloppy and the main character was doing things which did not make sense. But my opinion totally changed as the book came to an end, it left me in tears.
The metaphors the author used to describe Cady's pain were at first confusing, cause I didn't even realise they were metaphors... I liked the fairy tales in between the chapters.
I gave 4 stars only for the ending. It's the kind of book where the whole story might be boring but all these boring incidents leads to an epic ending. The feeling you get while reading that ending is worth reading the whole book.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Pages: 552

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was a heart-wrenching, tragic and an outstandingly beautiful story. I don't have words to describe how much this book means to me and how much I love it.
The book was written from an interesting perspective, death. It's odd to see death as a character, who has a heart and mind. Basically it's not death we should hate, it's the people who cause it.
The characters are so well written. I loved every one of them. Rudy is my absolute favourite and I don't think we can find such a smart, funny, kind and enthusiastic person in our whole lives.
Overall, the book is perfect and I don't think I can stop crying now.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green
Pages: 310

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was a sweet, witty and funny story.
I loved both Will and will. First I thought Tiny was full of himself but later I realised he is one hell of an awesome person. The friendship between Will and Tiny, will and Gideon and the romance between Will and Jane, Tiny and will ..... was perfect.
Both Will and will are very different and also at the same time very similar to each other...and we can see that in the writing styles of both the author's.

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
Pages: 409

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Woww!! I loved this book!
It has everything a book should have, from unique characters to excellent writing and plot.
I love the Raven Boys. Each of them are so different from the other that sometimes I didn't understand how they eneded being friends, but as the story went, seeing how they cared for each other and how they matched, it made perfect sense.
Blue on the other hand is everything I want a main character to be. She is smart, sassy and brave and the way she became friends with the boys is just so adorable.
The plot was very interesting and captivating. ( Though, I didn't really understand what they were searching for, for the first half of the book)
I really want to see what the next book has in store. I really hope their friendship remains intact till the end.

What a book!!!!
I fell a little more in love with each character. Ah! Ronan is an absolute heartthrob. And Adam, He is my favourite.... I really hope they both will get a happy ending. I liked this book better than the first one.
The plot was mind-blowing. And all those dreams and Kavinsky made it more interesting.
The ENDING?!!! I am starting the next book right now.

This book is just marvelous!!!!
The series is just getting better and better.... The plot and writing are AMAZING.
And the characters...... I just need more of them. I can't wait to read The Raven King.
And I am completely in love with Adam Parrish. The way the author showed his character development and how he is getting to know himself and his friends better is so heart warming. Now with Adam being a magician, no one in the gang is normal. I am really excited to see more of Adam×Ronan in the next book.
I adore Gray Man. And Jesse, he was such an amazing person.
Overall, this is one of the best series I read (not that I read many... but still).

I am in love with the raven cycle now. This book was everything I expected.
This book made me feel so many things ....I cried, laughed and loved with all those characters. I am gonna miss them.
The storyline and all those twists were just mind-blowing. It was better than I expected.
And Adam...I love that fellow very much... He is such an awesome guy. He is brave and he overcame his problems with determination and love from his friends. He and Ronan are the most adorable part of this book.
The Raven boys, Blue and even Henry did a great job in saving the 'world' and each other.
I just hope all of them will live happily ever after.....

Awesome characters and plot. I really like Clary, she has both the girly girl side and badass girl side. Jace is that lost boy who finds life after meeting the girl. Interesting and Unique world. Who wouldn't like a world full of mythical creatures?

Amazing!!!
Great writing and amazing plot twists!
I liked the fact that half of the book was Simon-based. I love him and he is so much wonderful in this book...
Clary and Jace were as usual... Their romance was cute and all but sometimes it became a bit too much.. And Izzy...she is just freaking awesome. I feel she is the most mature one of the group. And Alec and Magnus... God! they are so adorable!!.
The villian in this more powerful and cruel than valentine , so we get some cool action and heart-breaking scenes.
And the ending?? Just WOW!!!
Really excited to read the next book!

I enjoyed the book...it was bit slow but was filled with so many adorable scenes.
Jace...the possessed one was so different but I still kind of liked him leaving the part where he does everything Sebastian asks him to do. Clary ...being Clary does everything she can to get Jace back...
And Sebastian! He really is very bad!
Simon is still the Hero who saves the day. Alec, Isabelle and Magnus were amazing. I especially liked Maia and Jorden and they really make a great pair.
The battle at last was awesome and had some intense scenes.
I don't really want the series to end but I am excited to see what happens next!

Woww!! It was such a wonderful series. I really loved each and every book, every character and the entire story and the magics of shadowhunter's world. It was one hell of a ride.
This book might be my favorite one. I am very happy that every character got the ending they deserved.
I actually feel bad for Jonathan (Sebastian)...I mean not the evil one but the one who never got a chance to live.
Clary and Jace, Simon and Izzy, Alec and Magnus; every one were so awesome and all of them showed their love for each other and bravery throughout the book. The moments between Alec and Jace; and Alec and Magnus(#malecforever) were so adorable.
The dark war was horrible and heart-breaking.
I am definitely not done with shadowhunter's world. I am glad Cassandra Clare wrote so many books!!

SoO GoOOd!!!
I loved the TMI series and am sure I am going to love this series too.
It was nice to return to the shadow world!!
The setting - 1870's London- made the book more interesting. Tessa and everyone from the institute were all great... Especially Henry, he and his inventions were always fun to read.
The development in Tessa's character as the story went was awesome. And Will - He was smart and handsome and has great sense of humour.... But also has secrets...I am really eager to read more about his past in the next books...
Jem..he is my favourite character. I wish there was more of him in the book but ..there are still two more books to go... He is gentle and kind and he never loses his cool!!
The storyline and the plot-twists and the ENDING!! - everything was ....wow!!

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare
Pages: 498

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Everything was good till a point. The story and characters were great.
Even though the love triangle between Tessa, Jem and Will was frustating, it was understandable.... I mean, both Jem and Will were awesome (thorough I prefer Jem).
But as the story went... I didn't like how the relationship between Tessa and Will and between Tessa and Jem turned out.
This time I enjoyed the side characters more...than the main ones.
The book was fine but I liked the first one more.
