I finished listening to Twisted Lies by Angela Marsons, DI Kim Stone #14, and it’s another outstanding story. Here’s my review.

I finished Two Secret Sins by Anna Campbell, A Scandal in Mayfair #2, and it is a very unconventional historical romance. Here’s my review.

I finished listening to Keep Me Warm at Christmas by Brenda Novak, Silver Springs #9, and it was a touching and lovely story. Here’s my review.

I finished listening to Say You'll Stay by Susan Mallery, Wishing Tree #.5, and it served its purpose in introducing the new series. Here’s my review.

I’m listening to The Christmas Wedding Guest by Susan Mallery, Wishing Tree #1, and reading The Perfect Neighbor by Nora Roberts, The MacGregors #10.

A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas (Gold Valley, #4) by Maisey Yates A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas by Maisey Yates in paperback
Grant Dodge has isolated himself since his wife died. One cold night he finds a woman sleeping in one their abandoned cottages. McKenna grew up in foster homes all her life, and has just discovered that there is a chance her biological father is there in Gold Valley. The two are like oil and water until they find a lust for each other. Although they both agree that is just a physical thing, of course, it turns into more. It was an okay book. The story line was good, but I felt the sex was way over done, the constant reading about their pasts got old for me really quick. I felt the author could have cut out half of the book by going over and over their pasts and miseries and all the sex scenes. I liked Grant at first but his constant grief, making him and sad, was okay at first, but he was just a mean bully to me. I didn't like him by the end of the story. I really don't know what they saw in each other than sex. It was okay.

Snowed in with the Cowboy (Gold Valley, #3.5) by Maisey Yates Snowed in with the Cowboy by Maisey Yates
There is only one thing Chloe wants for Christmas and that is a night with the man she loves, Tanner. Tanner is her step brother and she doesn't dare share how she feels with fear of being rejected by him and what it will do to the entire family and her stay with the Reid family. But as they are driving on the way to the mountain lodge where the entire family is meeting for Christmas, they get trapped in a lodge when a blizzard hits and closes all the roads. There is only one room left with only one bed. Chloe takes a big risk by telling Tanner who she feels and what she wants. What a surprise to find out Tanner has had strong feelings for her and wants her too. They both are taking a risk but swear what happened in that room, will stay there. The ending of was predictable. A cute holiday short story.

Lone Star Christmas...And Other Gifts by Diana Palmer Lone Star Christmas...And Other Gifts by Diana Palmer and Joan Johnston.
4 short stories in one:
-Christmas Cowboy by Diana Palmer. it was a quick, sexy, cowboy book. Two past romances meet up again and they pretty much take up where they left off. Lots of dialogue and sex. The editing was terrible. Needed to be proofed better. I expected more.
-Redbird by Diana Palmer. A handsome ex-football player now rockstar is held up in a cabin to work and get away from people. Unfortunately, he is found out and trying to stop lies from being written, he decides to take the female reporter and keep her held up for a while. He ends up kidnapping the wrong person Poppy is a sweet person, loves animals and one of the humankinds. A cute sexy romance.
-A Hawk's Way Christmas by Joan Johnston. A story of finding love in all the strangest places. Like a linen closet in a hospital. A story of love, romance, spicy sex and finding a family.
-Taming the Lone Wolf by Joan Johnston. It was a cute story and some dynamic characters. Romance, sex, breaking down barriers and a very amusing little girl.

Four beautiful inspirational romance short stories for the holidays. All of them by different authors and all located in Wyoming. Even if you are not a "spiritual" or "religious" person, the heartwarming stories are still wonderful. I just loved each and everyone of them. Each with thier own twists and story lines. I would definetly recommend this book to others.

Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas (Rocky Mountain Cowboys #1) by Katie Ruggle Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas by Katie Ruggle in paperback
This was a very enjoyable holiday romance. A great dad and his amazingly wonderful children are back on the familes ranch. His is firefighter and helps out at the Christmas tree ranch. Eccentric artist, Camille Brandt lives a quiet life and likes it that way. Until "Steve freaking Springfield" comes into her life. A crush she had from the past suddenly reappears. Camille alwasys feels awkward around other people, but soon discovers that she doesn't have that problem around Steve and his children. She finds she has much in common with all his children. The whole family connection was so fun to read about. I found myself laughing, smiling and even crying with the children at times. All the characters were so well defined and strong. Inside the story line is some danger, mystery and suspense. I was so surprised at the 'who dunnit.' However, I was very disappointed in the ending. I felt that too much was left out and left me wondering "what?" I felt it was rushed and did not finish many unanswered questions. I also felt that I was missing something by not reading the other books. For this reason, I would not consider this a stand alone book. But all in all, I loved the book and would certainly recommend it.

Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas (Rocky Mountain Cowboys #1) by Katie Ruggle Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas by Katie Ruggle in paperback
It had a good story at first but got boring as you went into it. Finally, after the second, third sex scene, I totally skipped over the rest and all the lustful thoughts. Your foster father has cancer surgery, and all he could think about was sex? I don't mind some steamy scenes if it fits well with the story, but when that is all, it is, I lose interest. I almost didn't finish it, but I don't feel it is fair to the author to review a book without reading it start to finish. Sorry, but I just didn't like it.

The story lines in all three books were very good, good character development, but I just couldn't get past the constant, consistent, repetitive descriptions of everyone and everything. Halfway through the first book, I skipped over most of it and just read the dialogues. I got very bored, very quickly. To be honest, I was so glad when I read all of them and was done with it.
