Introductions - 2021
Hello All, and Happy New Year! My name is Seana and I actually joined this group last year but time was not on my side and I was not able to participate. But now, new year and a new determination to read more and read a variety of things, just not my favorite fantasy and mystery genres.
hi everyone - i'm Dee! this group was mentioned by Almerta and Elspeth in another group and i can never turn down new reading challenges or goals (what can i say, i'm a sucker for a good book)
Hi everyone! I'm LaDonna and I have been on Goodreads for awhile, but only used it to find my next book. Lately, I have been wanting to be a part of a community who enjoys reading as much as I do. I have begun rating and reviewing books, and I joined your group! I'm excited, and I have been wanting to read "The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" so this seems to be a fortuitous time to join.

Janices annual challenge is awesome 😃

Hi everyone! I am new here too. Just like LaDonna, I have been on Goodreads a while, but am just starting to take advantage of all the wonderful groups and people. I finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo right before I joined this group - it was excellent. I'm excited to see so much activity on this group and look forward to next month's read!
Welcome Val!! We're all a little obsessed with our bi-monthly readathon at the moment, but glad you've joined us!
Hi everyone, I'm Rachel. I've actually been in a reading slump for over a year. (I know it's terrible). But I've recently found the motivation to read again. So I got on Goodreads and joined a couple of groups for added fuel. xDI'm excited to meet everyone and participate in the challenges. :)
Welcome Rachel! Don't worry about it at all, we all have slumps and 2020 was a special year. But very glad you have found us and hope we can help. Look forward to see what you pick up with us :D
Hi Rachel! I'm glad you decided to join our group. We've got a few activities that might help with your slump. I don't know what genres you like, but one of the themed reads, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is a light, quick read and one I really enjoyed. Maybe it would be just the ticket for alleviating a slump.
Thanks everyone! :DAnd I've been planning to read that one myself Janice because I love thrillers and murder mysteries. Thanks for the rec anyway. :)

You'll have to suspend disbelief in it. Don't be expecting plausibility in her methods. I peeked at your profile page and it says that you like true crime and this book is pretty far from that. But, it's fun.
I enjoy true crime as well. I've been watching documentary series on Netflix lately. I've got a couple of books coming up from my TBR.

You'll have to suspend disbel..."
I think I might have watched every documentary on Netflix by this point. xD I highly recommend Nightstalker! As well as the Unabomber one. In his own words or something. I can't remember what it's called right now. Sorry. :P
I think I saw Nightstalker. I just finished watching The Interviewer. I started watching The Serpent, but it bothered me so much I gave up on it. Did you watch The Keepers about a nun who was murdered after some of her students told her they'd been raped? It was an interesting show.

What affected me the most was the impact she clearly had on her students for them to still be searching for the truth after all these years.
I think I'll watch The Serpent. I hadn't even heard of that one.
That struck me as well. Being a retired teacher and principal, that really hit home. I had such a hard time wrapping my head around the extent of the situation and how widespread it was. What an outstanding woman she was!
HiyaLisa invited me to join. So I’m just finding my way around.
I’m medically retired and a Carer for hubby and an older daughter.
Two grown children in their 30’s.
One little doggie 🐶 a ShihTzu named Bella.
I read a lot!
And I live in United Kingdom so I hope it’s ok to be here
Welcome, Sue! Of course it's ok. We have members from all around the world and we're glad to have you join us. :) I have a Shih Tzu mix dog and she is named Bella too!
Welcome Sue! I'm glad that Lisa invited you and that you joined. We have quite a few members from the UK including one of our moderators. You are in good company. I think Bella is a great name for a dog. My neighbor has a pug named Bella.
Hi Sue!
Welcome to the group :-) I live in the UK too.
Bella is a wonderful name. Our neighbours recently got a Shih Tzu Corgi mix. Beautiful pups.

Welcome, Sue, from Georgia, USA. I am glad you could join. Everyone is so supportive. I have learned not to be afraid to ask questions. I’m still learning, but love this group.
