I usually choose books I think I will enjoy, but I got it wrong with Larrimah by Australian journalists, Caroline Graham and Kylie Stevenson, and found it a bit of a chore to read: I eventually lost interest and have to admit I merely skimmed the last 130 pages. Perhaps you just need to be in the right frame of mind… No doubt this overdose of weird will appeal to some. 3★s
