My review for
Singapore Sapphire by A.M. Stuart, our BOM and an excellent historical mysteryhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Ray Porter does an excellent job of narrating Andy Weir's latest foray into space travel, Project Hail Mary. I have to say he did sound a bit like Tom Hanks...Well worth reading, print, electronic or audio.

Just finished
by Chana PorterA mildly sci-fi/speculative fiction that is more about grief and loss and finding yourself. Protagonist is a trans woman and it is very much a sci-fi that would appeal to people who do not normally read sci-fi.

I just reviewed
by Caroline Graham and Kylie StevensonI really enjoyed it! I think anyone who has ever lived or travelled in any North Australian outback will find so much to relate to here, and so much to enjoy. So many of the stories are funny, light-hearted, wild and delightfully told.

The Grapes of WrathAll Our Shimmering Skies
My two latest reads. I had to give up on All The Light We Cannot See. It just failed to resonate at all with me.

i just read (in the early hours of this morning) One Little Life by Naomi Hunter. It was so well written and "easy" to read (although given the topic i feel like that isn't the right word for it) Does anyone else find it hard to review books that are biographies (this is technically a novel but as it explains at the start it is actually Naomi's life story) especially when they are on such heavy and heartbreaking topics???
Here's my review of Without a Trace by Jane Bettany, the second book in her D.I. Isabel Blood series.

BOO! If anyone is looking for a good spooky story to share for the Halloween season, I recommend Click-Clack the Rattlebag by master storyteller Neil Gaiman. It's free to download, and there's also a YouTube video of him reading it. Details in my review.

Snow Blind by P.J. Tracy is one to read on a hot day. Bl**dy freezing weather! Still, intrepid (sometimes terrified) detectives keep braving the icy roads to hunt down killers.
3.5★ Link to my review of Snow Blind
I’ve said before that for audiobooks the choice of narrator is critical. I really loved reading the print version of David Nicholls’s fifth novel, Sweet Sorrow, but Rory Kinnear’s narration doesn’t do it any favours. His distinction between characters is not very good and listening to his voice really starts to grate after thirteen hours. I was disappointed enough to deduct a star from the rating, so 4★s.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
As the title suggests, Poornima Manco's latest book, Eight - Fantastical Tales From Here, There & Everywhere is a collection of eight excellent short stories from diverse settings across the globe.4★s

The Dinner Lady Detectives by Hannah Hendyreview: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Wow! I'd have to say that Sara Foster's seventh novel, The Hush definitely lives up to the hype! This is the best dystopian fiction you will read this year.5 big ★s

This one was a good location - Kalgoorlie in Western Australia
by Shirley PattonWhile I was pretty enthusiastic to read it, having been in Kalgoorlie back in the 90's sometime, I was underwhelmed by the novel in general, 2 1/2 stars.
