4 stars, got a little bogged down in the middle but an enjoyable read

My review of financial thriller,
Spin Move by David Lender 3.5★https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Anna Hruby does a brilliant job narrating Fiona Higgins debut novel, The Mothers' Group. 4.5★s

C.J. Zahner's fifth novel, Don't Mind Me, I Came with the House is funny and feel-good, a very entertaining read. It can easily be read as stand alone, although I wouldn't have minded reading the book before it: Friends Who Move Couches which featured the same protagonist.4.5★s

4.5 stars for this fantasy novel that I finally got to!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgensternhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I really enjoyed Michael Robotham's new thriller,
When You Are Minereview: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Wendy Bos does an excellent job of narrating Kerry Greenwood's latest Phryne Fisher offering. The Lady with the Gun Asks the Questions: The ultimate Miss Phryne Fisher collection is an excellent collection of small doses of Phryne Fisher, although readers should be aware that all but four of the stories were published in A Question of Death: An Illustrated Phryne Fisher Treasury, which included many interesting extras. Do the four new stories compensate? Avid fans can decide.

My review for
The 22 Murders of Madison May by Max Barry, definitely a fun read.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I thoroughly enjoyed this month's Group Read, Book of Lost Threads by Tess Evans. I looked forward to picking it up at every opportunity, through until the end.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Usually when an author omits quote marks for speech, it really irritates me and I deduct half a star, but I love the characters and story in Still Life enough to forgive Sarah Winman this editorial affectation. If it really annoys you, wait for the audio version, when this won't be apparent: It's truly worth reading.5★s

Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Why have I waited so long to read an Octavia Butler novel? Book of the year for me so far!

My review of The Good Wife of Bath: A (Mostly) True Story by Karen BrooksIt's not always an easy read, but it was a highly rewarding one. 5 stars.

South Australian author Garry Disher's recent book Consolation is my favourite kind of writing. Perfect for place, plot, and people. This is rural Australia where crooks think they can get away with murder.
4.5~5★ Link to my review of Consolation
A Little Bit of Courage is all you need to fly high! Author/illustrator Claire Alexander created cute little "Ploofers" to show kids how to learn to be brave.
5★ Link to my review of A Little Bit of Courage with many illustrations
4 stars for this domestic drama/romance by an Aussie Author
The Vet from Snowy River by Stella Quinnhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review for
The Noise by J.D. Barker and James Patterson, an interesting idea that I felt didn't quite work for me.review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
German author Mariana Leky's third novel, What You Can See from Here is heart-warming, if a little weird. It features an okapi (look it up) and is likely to appeal to fans of Fredrik Backman's work.4.5★s

Anyone in the mood for a fun, modern romance could do a lot worse than The Rules of Arrangement by Anisha Bhatiahttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Here's my (belated) review of Five Strangers by E.V. Adamson (aka Andrew Wilson). An okay psychological thriller, but I'm a bit over the psychologically-damaged-unreliable-female-narrator trope.
