I'm very pleased I didn't pick that one up Carolyn...

Here's my review of The Puzzle Solver: A Scientist's Desperate Quest to Cure the Illness that Stole His Son by Tracie White & Ronald W. Davis. It's a collaboration between an investigative journalist (White) and a Stanford geneticist (Davis) detailing Davis's progress in unlocking the mysteries of chronic fatigue syndrome. An interesting and inspiring non-fiction read.

Here's my review of The Apprentice (Rizzoli & Isles #2) by Tess Gerritsen, a great crime-thriller with well-developed and complex characters and a thrilling conclusion.

I have been really looking forward to reading the third book in Sujata Massey's Perveen Mistry series, The Bombay Prince, and I am pleased to say it lived up to my expectations. I'm really enjoying this protagonist and her support characters, and the setting is so interesting!5★s

Love Paula McLain’s historical fiction but her first foray into mystery was a little too dark for me.When the Stars Go Dark review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Abbe Holmes does an excellent job of narrating the audio version of Aussie author, Tabitha Bird's debut novel, A Lifetime of Impossible Days. 5★s

Aussie journalist, reporter, and writer Rick Morton bared his family's soul in his memoir One Hundred Years of Dirt. His childhood in far outback Queensland sounds like something from a couple of hundred years ago.
4.5~5★ Link to my review of One Hundred Years of Dirt
I see mixed reviews, but I loved Aussie author Robert Hillman's new novel, The Bride of Almond Tree. Communists and Quakers, Moscow and London, Hiroshima and a Victorian country town, all these add up to a moving and thought-provoking love story.5★s

A road trip to track down an unknown father and perform at an international comedy festival. What could possibly go wrong? The Funny Thing About Norman Foreman by Julietta Henderson follows twelve-year-old Norman, his mother, and an old codger to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Don't trust me - many readers just loved this one!

I've never read any Angela Marsons, and I know her crime fiction is very popular. I see from other reviews that her foray into romcom is not representative of the quality of her writing. If Only is likely to disappoint fans of her crime series.3★s

Cardboard Cowboys by British author, Brian Conaghan is aimed at middle grade readers, but that doesn't stop readers fifty years older than the target age from enjoying it. Moving, thought-provoking and full of humour.5★s
