Just finished A Murder Unmentioned by Sulari GentillContinue to enjoy this series, and what I am enjoying more and more with each book is the inclusion of real life events and people into the stories, and additionally the political history of the period in Australia between the wars. (This book included a cameo appearance from Bob Menzies - prior to his move into federal politics).
With each book, I end up spending a good few hours reading old newspapers on Trove, and have learned a lot about the politics of the time - not something that was covered in my history lessons at school!

I feel the same way, Kerri. It's a great series!
The classic Graham Greene novel, The Quiet American, is up there with my favourites. Vietnam in the early 1950s - what a mix of people and a mess of politics and war, plus a love story.

The Hawthorne School by Sylvie PerrySet in a gothic looking school, this book started with a great premise but didn't quite deliver. A good read but I found the main character annoyingly clueless.
