Space Opera Recommendations?

Feeling a bit fed up again with urban fanatsy. I read a few of the old books and well not much is measuring up. I decided to go back and finish the Sirantha Jax series by Ann Aguirre and I like the stories of space it feels refreshing. I wonder if anyone has any other recommendations?

I really like the Their's Not to Reason Why series that starts with, A Soldier's Duty. It's fairly military, but still good. If you do decided to read it, I'd buddy read it with you. Have been wanting to re-read it, just haven't made the effort to. If you like these there is a spin off series, starts with The Terrans.

Also, since you liked the Sirantha Jax series, make sure to read the Dred Chronicles, they spin off the Jax series, first one is Perdition.

Paradox series, Fortune's Pawn is the first one.

Consortium Rebellion, Polaris Rising is the first one.

This is an older series, but a good one, The League, Born of Night

and I think the firebird chronicles series by T.A. White is shaping up into an epic story telling journey with 3 books out so far and the 4th due soonish

I love T.A. White's Firebird Chronicles, 1st book so glad to hear there is to be a #4!!!!
