Greetings, Members of the Star Wars Legends Fan Group! End of 2020 is finally upon us, and it's pretty much a given that everyone will be glad to see it in our rearview mirrors, but how about taking a break from the festivities and have a listen as we broadcast a short note about our latest updates...
In 2021 we'd like to introduce several new features to help you boost your Star Wars reading enthusiasm: Monthly Group Reads, Buddy Reads & Reading Challenges.
There will be a regular monthly group read. There's already a running discussion on Splinter of the Mind's Eye that you can join here.
What we'll read next will be decided by you. There is a poll up and running for the February Group Read. Nominations are based on The Best Star Wars Legends Books of All Time by youtuni.com.
Vote here.
Starting March all the Group Reads will be determined by polls based on our members' nominations. The nomination thread for the March Group Read will be open till January 8th. Every member can nominate one book. The poll will be on from January 9th to

Our chosen May Legends Group Read is Vector Prime by R.A. Salvatore. It is the first volume in the series The New Jedi Order. The events of the novel are set in 25 ABY, and the story introduces the villainous Yuuzhan Vong and their plans of domination. The Group Read starts on May 1st. You can join the discussion here.
Our chosen May Canon Group Read is Dooku: Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott. It is a canon audio drama narrated by a full cast. It follows Asajj Ventress as she delves deep into the past of Count Dooku and discovers why he chose to leave the Jedi Order. If you don't like the audio format you can read the the script book version. The Group Read starts on May 15th. You can join the discussion here.

It seems we have have had just bellow 200 newbies in the group over past 12 months. The Mods would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new members! We'd love to see you pop over to our Introductions thread, located here and say hello, possibly telling us a bit about yourself in the process!
This month we'll try something different. WE WON'T HAVE AN OFFICIAL GROUP READ IN JANUARY.
We have had a bunch of new members and we read /or tried to read/ quite a lot of Star Wars books over the last 12 months. Not everybody had enough time to participate in all the group reads every month and newbies might have missed out on the opportunity to participate in book discussions on books they were interested in reading.
SO THIS MONTH INSTEAD OF READING A NEW COUPLE OF STAR WARS BOOKS,
EVERYBODY WHO SO WISHES CAN CATCH UP AND READ OLDER GROUP READS.
You can share which books you'll read in January here in this thread. You can also discuss the books there or you might post in original group read discussion threads. Your choice. Happy Star Wars Reading!
In February we'll read Path of Destruction and A Test of Courage. If you want to participate in our group discussion you have enough time to get the books before the group reads start February 1st and February 15th respectively.
