Laura ☾ | 873 comments Thanks guys!

@brittany hahah I've added one more (Mercy) for the moment - but I'm too OCD to keep series unfinished for too long (except Outlander that is slow progress haha)

Good luck on your challenges! I love that you are able to keep up with your series relatively well. Meanwhile I think I still have 75 series to finish or something 🙈😂

OMG 75!! hahah that's so many!

I have to say though I don't include series on that list that I have no intention of continuing - so some series where I've read book 1 but won't continue are not listed there!

Liliana (lililostinabook) | 2893 comments Mod
I know! 😂 I am really bad at finishing series and I don't know why lol

That makes sense. I think I may have to go through that list and discard the ones I know I will absolutely not read. Maybe then the list wont be as daunting and then I'll feel like I'm making progress 😂

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
I'm over 100 series to complete so I feel you Lili!! Im terrible at finishing series too. There's always new ones to start!
I try to go through them periodically and cull ones that I'll realistically never get back to but I do leave lots on there as maybe one days.

Those Maybe One Days are gonna be the death of us 😂

I’ve got 60 series to finish. I went through and got rid of the ones I won’t finish and I’m left with 60. That’s why one of my challenges is to finish 21. I have 23 where there’s only one book left to finish so it shouldn’t be too hard. Fingers crossed.

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Ok so I'm caught up with Mercy so far - on Shifting Shadows now

I have to say from that prequel novella and the little glimpses from Mercy I LOVE CHARLES

message 16: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
<3 Charles is wonderful. Awesome that you are all caught up. I hope to finally catch back up on them both this year

Until where have you read?

message 18: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
Fire touched was the last Mercy I read. I was caught up back then! My next read is to jump to A&O and read Dead Heat though. I've kept to the timeline mostly.

message 19: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Oooh! I’m reading Shifting Shadows now and after thy I’ll get into A&O I can’t wait

message 20: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
Make sure you dont miss the prequel! And enjoy :)
I own the next two I need to read and Shifting Shadows so maybe this will be the year..

message 21: by Laura ☾ (last edited Jan 11, 2021 04:13AM) (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments I already read the prequel it’s in shifting shadows!

message 24: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
I have Bone Crossed and Silver Borne on my favourites list so one of those two! Its been a long while since I read them though so I cannot remember what happens in which book. Im actually debating a reread.....
I have a signed copy of Fair Game and it makes me so happy. Looking forward to how you feel about A&O

message 25: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Ooh awesome!

For now I’ve finished Blood Heir

And I’ve started Cry Wolf

message 26: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments SO I finshed Hunting Ground and I love Charles so much! hahaha

And I'm still enjoying the series

message 27: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
Yes!! Loved reading that one

message 28: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments I have to say Anna is growing on me but Charles absolutely steals the show 😂

Just like Mercy did when there was her and adams POV i just much preferred Mercy although I like Adam

message 29: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
That's fair. I love Mercy and Adam so much. And Anna definitely grows on you as you go.

message 30: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Honestly I love Mercy but I only liked Adam - like he’s good for her but I don’t love him as much as a character

message 31: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
And that is fair too! Adam works for me, but I can understand what you mean

Honestly I wasn’t really a fan sadly!

message 33: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments So I finished Burn Bright and I think I liked Alpha & Omega even more than Mercy! I can't wait for the next book

I’m about 20% in and so far not really feeling it to be honest

message 38: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
Oh no! That is so not what I want to hear. Why not?

message 39: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Brittany wrote: "Oh no! That is so not what I want to hear. Why not?"

I've finished it - It wasn't bad but it just didn't really live up to the original trilogy for me if that makes sense?

message 40: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
That does, too bad. Maybe I will wait after all then. Sadly this often happens when an author goes back to a finished series years later

message 41: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Brittany wrote: "That does, too bad. Maybe I will wait after all then. Sadly this often happens when an author goes back to a finished series years later"

Yes! I think one of the few where I really enjoyed the later continuations after it was supposed to be done was The Old Kingdom series!

message 42: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Ok I finished A Vow So Bold and Deadly (Cursebreakers, #3) by Brigid Kemmerer and honestly it was a disappointing finale

message 43: by Brittany (last edited Jan 28, 2021 06:20AM) (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
That sucks to hear! If you can say why it was so disappointing without major spoilers I'm curious.

message 44: by Laura ☾ (new)

Laura ☾ | 873 comments Honestly it just felt like it was lazy writing - like she was trying to veer away from the romance and get more serious but it didn’t really work?

On the other hand I just finished A Flame in the Mist and that was a really entertaining read!

message 45: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 6445 comments Mod
Ah, that is not appealing. Thanks for the heads up!

Yay that you read an entertaining one!
