I just came back to GR after being seriously on and off for two-three days, and I was going through the nooks to find out what was happening, and I literally have no diea what, if anything happened

i'm starting Blood and ash!! I'm hoping to get to Vicious tomorrow, but it's a little doubtful....sorry you didn't love it
Trisha wrote: "I just came back to GR after being seriously on and off for two-three days, and I was going through the nooks to find out what was happening, and I literally have no idea what, if anything happened"Some of the nooks here are so full of life, there are always such amazing conversations going on. I am too intimidated to comment on any of them though😅

i really hope not....I just finished wrath and Dawn and loved it....and I'm in the mood for sexy romance...so Blood and ash....I'm scared of sofia finding out I'm reading books she hated with a passion, and kinda liking them

that's one of my main reasons for reading it!!! and I'm really in the mood for romance, enemoes-to-lovers, some angst, banter....this seemed like the perfect fit from my current to-finish-before-jan books
i’m reading blood and ash and if you want sexy romance, read it. if you find a creepy and kind of rapey love interest sexy.

This reminds me of this book my friend recommended to me.............Its about(view spoiler)

umm....that's really ominous....and not what i'm hoping for....
let's see....also, if nothing else, I'll be able to hate on it, and I am in a vindictive mood too....my moods do not make sense

it is but in my opinion it also has a good worldbuilding and a well worked out main charracters that struggels and isnt all perfect. i did like it , the sequel i did find too much sometimes on the smut and a bit repetitive and that syas something for me to say that haha
Bumble wrote: "honestly whoever came up with that nickname (was it sofia?) deserves a nobel prize for literature"Yep i think it was her
Akshita wrote: "Ha, I removed it from my tbr as soon as i read Sofia's review."i considered it, but....i don't know, i'm reading it now XD

i did like it i even gave it 4.5 stars
@Bumble I get what you said about rapey vibes...but it didn't exactly feel like that to me somehow? I don't know....
You know what, the above comment isn't completely right (I'm only upto 10%) The way he wasn't getting up when she asked him to was definitely rapey vibes....but it didn't feel like it because Penelope's perspective is a little skewed
Trisha wrote: "@Bumble I get what you said about rapey vibes...but it didn't exactly feel like that to me somehow? I don't know...."same it also didnt feel like that for me
he’s just a little too forward? like he wouldn’t get up when she asked him to stop, and he keeps touching her face and stuff. but after a while they actually have a romance and he gets a little better.
Bumble wrote: "he’s just a little too forward? like he wouldn’t get up when she asked him to stop, and he keeps touching her face and stuff. but after a while they actually have a romance and he gets a little bet..."I feel the same....he was definitely not acting okay when he wasn't listening to her, but then the later scenes were full of consent and whatnot...so...
I think Hawke is extremely problematic because he didn't stop when Poppy told him too, he just kissed and groped a random stranger. Dude, back off.
Sofia wrote: "I think Hawke is extremely problematic because he didn't stop when Poppy told him too, he just kissed and groped a random stranger. Dude, back off."We are talking about the beginning chapters, right?
Sofia wrote: "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LIKED THE WRATH AND THE DAWN HHHHH"I'm sorry Sofia. I tried. I tried so hard to hate it, but I was absolutely enjoying it, and I hated when it finished. I do think that the beginning of that was problematic too, but I JUST SO LIKED THE REST OF IT (please don't hate me)
red flag 1: he was at the red pearlred flag 2: he refused to stop kissing her
red flag 3: he was willing to have cuddle time with someone he had never seen and didn’t know the name of

Yes, I do think they are slightly (maybe a little more) problematic, but Sofia the rest of the scenes were, and are, so GOOD....in fact, I just finished with one of them, and I CAN'T SOFIA I CAN'T HATE THIS

No really that's okay! Everyone likes their own thing.

I AGREE I AGREE SO BAD BUT THE REST OF IT
I have no excuse. I wholeheartedly agree both beginnings were really problematic, but I can't lie, I'm enjoying the rest of it
I think it was supposed to be mindless fun anyway. I just hated it so much that I couldn't enjoy even the mindless parts.
Sofia wrote: "Well I get it I just hate everything with a burning passion, it's literally my job"I really hope you find more books that you like in the next year
The biggest problem was the writing. I'll translate that sentence into Mud and Trash speak.
The biggest problem was... was the writing.
Sofia wrote: "I think it was supposed to be mindless fun anyway. I just hated it so much that I couldn't enjoy even the mindless parts."I tis, actually, there's not much sense to the plot of this....but the romance, which I'm here for mainly, is to my liking,...and so...here we are

YOU HAVE A POINT
Buuuuut... that is literally how I speak (online) and think (most of the time), so I didn't find it as bad....though I think those kind of ellipses would be better suited to like a movie script...or maybe an audiobook...
