agreed, i was never a big fan of snape in general, like yeah he might have turned out to be an okay person, and redemption arcs i read in fanfics for him are good provided they din't pull punches, but i never wanted him in any romantic thing

in general, i think the original redemption arc wasn't very good, but i';ve polluted myself with so many fanfic redemption arcs that were really, really good....like they all agree he was a stupid gu and and dark and not a hero, but he was an okay guy in the end

agreed! i can't really explain completely how i like the redemption arcs because my memory of them all are very clumped together over loads of fanfics, but i love th eones that paint him as a very flawed person, who might have made a lot of mistakes, been a horrible person, but did some good thing in the end. it doesn't go on to define his legacy as a good person, but more like you can improve, however bad you are. never becoming a good person or a hero, but a person to be remembered?
