edited commentI will be reading the two books I am down for plus...
, hand 7 ,card 3 ( title starts with t)I might be able to find something for all those F's. If I do, I will post here later
Alexa without giving anything away how did you like Fairest? I am waiting to read it!Apoorv.. what did you think of Naked in Glory? Are you hooked or no?
Laura, I loved it! I always like when they tell how the villains got to be so evil, I think that's why I love Once Upon a Time so much
I cant wait to read it. I m going to see what Once Upon a Time is about.. most likely I will like it:)
Alexa wrote: "Laura, I loved it! I always like when they tell how the villains got to be so evil, I think that's why I love Once Upon a Time so much"Just ordered both from an inter library loan, lol.. I may have them both before the challenge is over.
Beth, would you please swap out A Tree Grows In Brooklyn for The Scribe by Elizabeth Hunter (takes place in Turkey) please? Just not the right time to read the first one. Thanks!
I started/finished I Was Here yesterday (that's how amazing it was!!) It can count for Hand 6's cards 4 or 5, because of author's last name Forman, or it can count for hand 7's SKIP, title starting with an IAlso, the Oliver Twist in hand two doesn't work for card 0, that one has to have things starting with z, not o. If it is a standalone (never read it, not sure) it counts for that reason.
UpdateFinished : The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry | Gabrielle Zevin | 08Feb2015
Fits the following tasks:
★ Hand 2: 0 (Author Last Name (Z), Standalone)
★ Hand 4: 4 (Character Last Name F - A.J. Fikry)
★ Hand 4: 6 (Title (S))
★ Hand 5: 5 (Character Last Name F - A.J. Fikry)
★ Hand 5: Skip (Title (S))
Re: Oliver Twist world as 0 only as stand alone. Becky since Apoov(forgive me if I have it wrong) has finished The Storied life of A.K. you can swap that instead so that hand 2 is completed and put Oliver Twist in another hand for either 1or 0. Thanks for the correction. And we are doing great as a team. Glad to be a part of it.

lol.. works for a reverse card also as I 've read it before! I liked this one:)
I have swapped Stories Life and Oliver Twist so we have the first two hands completed!! I don't know where to put Oliver Twist now, though. I may switch it with my Glory in Death in hand 5 or put it on Wild Draw 4 in hand 7. If anyone else knows where it would fit best, let me know!!
Btw, the spreadsheet is (hopefully) 100% updated. If I missed something, please let me know. My internet has been funny and I've spent the last 24 hours driving all over the state and haven't had time to do much of anything!

Hope you enjoyed the bridal shower. Don't worry about updating. Think you are doing a good job.
Oliver Twist meets the following:
0- standalone
1- character with name starting with O
2/3- surname starts with T
4/5- character named Fagin.
6- character named Sikes
9- character named Nancy
WILD- fits any requirement
Draw 2
So hand 7 for 5 works.
Spreadsheet looks great.. if you wanted to you could play around with it and we could have hand 3 completed as well.. we have a reverse completed in hand 5, the reverse in hand 3 could trade spots.. we would have the extra points for completing a hand and then we could work on completing hands 4, 5, 6 for this week
Great catch, Laura! Just switched it! If you see anymore that can be switched, let me know! The first three hands are complete! Awesome job, speeders!

Yeah , great work everyone!! Three hands in the first week, that is awesome!

Teddie & Alexa's 4's could be switched and then hand 4 is that much closer to being completed!
I've pushed up any that have already been read that won't interfere with any Draw 2's so hopefully we can get even more hands completed! Just two more books for hand 2 since one of them is a Draw 2
I will be reading Elizabeth Is Missing by Emma Healey works for hand 8, card 8 ( title begins with E)also The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas works for hand 7, card skip. (character's name is Keith)
I finished Darkness, Kindled
- onto The Supremes... If you want, you could move The Gunslinger to hand 8 - it could be a SKIP (Stephen King) and a 1 (first in Dark Tower series) and a Draw 2.
Just looked at everyone's shelves and I've updated it from any books that people haven't been able to update on.Apoorv, I put in Confessions for you!
I'm about halfway done with The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah (which is amazing, by the way, and I don't even normally like WWII books) and it fits with card 4 because it takes place in France (or card 4/5 for the next hand if someone finishes before me)
I've already finished all of my books on the spreadsheet, I meant that it would fit for one of the blank ones, just couldn't remember what hand we were on
Sorry! I was on the wrong page and thought your message was new. I'll go put it for card 4.Okay, you are in hand 6 card 4 and if someone finishes a book that fits there before you're done with this then I will put it in hand t card 5
hand eight , Elizabeth is Missing .. makes more sense to stick it in one of the draw 2 cards and then it can be used for both 8's not just one. It doesn't make sense to read more books when we don't have too.
I was thinking for hand 8: The Gunslinger (Skip and 1) can also be used as the other Draw 2 - will need to switch it with Confessions of a Shopaholic (S for Sophie)
Updated the spreadsheet! I have changed hand 8 so now both draw 2's are filled. Is anyone close to finishing their books? How are you liking them so far?
If anyone wants to pick books that fit in hand 5 (5, 6, 7, Wild Draw 4) let me know!
Beth (Ducky) wrote: "Thanks for letting me know! How are you liking Firefight?"its good so far:) Easy quick read. I should get through a good chunk of it tonight:)Hoping to finish it tomorrow night or Friday night!
Beth can you take my Red Rising out completely ( I don't want to waste time reading something I 'm not liking) You can stick the Thousand Dollar Tan book where it was. I'm sure we will find something else for the skip in hand seven. I have a book for another challenge I need to read that won't fit anywhere except for the wild 4 spot..(hand 7) Its called
We'll find something for Skip, no worries. Updated the spreadsheet! I will look for a short book that I can read for Skip if no one else finds one
Finished The Supremes at Earl"s All-You-Can-Eat. I've been on hold forever for Station Eleven from the library, and just got it today - would you please put that down for a 6 or 7 in hand 7? Thanks!
Next up for me is to finish The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and two other authors. I looked it up and it could go for cards 6, 7, or SKIP in hand 7 because one of the authors names starts with S. It's Sarah Rees Brennan. I'm over halfway done so I hope to finish it this weekend.
