This is the one I went with - it was a reread for me, but 40 years apart, and while I still liked it, my perspective on the story and the narrator was completely different as an adult than I remembered as a child.

I suggest you read the comment above yours. 😉

But I loved that: the cover features an axolotl, one of my favorite creatures, and a corpse flower, so I was hooked. It’s a collection of essays that will not necessarily work for everyone. If you are a poet or a lateral thinker, you will *love* it. I did. Award winning poet Aimee Nezhukumatathil combines her personal memories, with great biology and environmental writing. I hope she writes more like this.
Mostly set outdoors, but also could work for prettiest book on
my ( updated) TBR

It's about a rugby team that crashed on the Andes and needed to survive on the mountain for quite some time.

Even if you include the one cabin 80% of this book is outdoors in the elements.

I plan to read The Cold Vanish: Seeking the Missing in North America's Wildlands for this prompt.

I just saw this! Great list!! and I love that List Challenges site, so I couldn't resist, I checked off all I'd read. 18/200. And I enjoyed all of them, and I see quite a few others I want to read on your list.
I can recommend a few more books that I didn't see on the list, but you probably don't want to go past the nice round number of 200 (or maybe you can't edit those lists once they are published? Idk)
