There are alot of books I am looking forward to in 2021 but my most anticipated book of the year is Losing Gravity by Kameron Hurley. I just hope it actually releases this year.
I have several books I'm excited about this year. I still haven't figured out where books will go so I'll just list a few 2021 ones here.
I just finished The Wife Upstairs. I have book of the month and this was an option for December as an early release. The publication date is in 2021, so I am going to count it for this prompt. There will be many other books this year, and this was a good one to start the year off with.
This one is going to be a no-brainer for me. One of my favourite Dutch authors, Femke Roobol, is publishing 2 new books in 2021. Also meets my personal challenge (reading at least one Dutch writer)
I have The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang down for this.Having read others comments I realized I totally forgot about The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah that I've had on my TBR list for a while now.
For the prompt for a book published in 2021, I’m going to read The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. It comes out in February.
I read Alchemy and Rose by Sarah Maine for this. Not that it was a book I was anticipating or excited for, it was just my first Netgalley of the year and I wanted to cross off a prompt!I've read and really enjoyed Sarah Maine before - I read Women of the Dunes last year. I thought that book has a really great blend of mystery, a touch of modern-day romance and historical fiction. This story is completely set in the past, and has a prominent romance premise. I'm not a romance reader at all, but I figured I was in good hands with this author so gave it a try. Whilst this does have a romance at its core, this book is not dominated by that one element. It is compulsively readable, full of historic fact from a period of history I knew nothing about, and is really more about the jeopardy that Rose finds herself in. Maine is incredibly good at setting a scene, and each character had a really strong presence. This book isn't particularly deep in comparison to my usual choices, but it still covers a lot of themes and is a fun read.
I'm reading Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas. I enjoyed reading The Hate U Give in 2017. I just bought it online!
I am listening to Concrete Rose audiobook now and loving it! I was shocked that my hold came in so quickly.
