Please post what you are thinking of reading and whether it is one author or several. If more than one author they all need to female.

Nidhi Kumari I have never read Willa Cather. She writes good stories as GR members report, so count me in for this one.

Brenda (gd2brivard) | 1270 comments I’ve recently purchased Complete Short Stories by Elizabeth Taylor so I think this will be my pick, then I can also read from my shelves.

Elke (elkeo) This is a Perspehone book of short stories burning a hole in my TBR - author is compared to Jane Austen but sounds even more interesting, set in the 1940s: Tea with Mr. Rochester

here is a more detailed review than what appears in GR for more info:

Good shout, I've a couple of her short story collections, The Blush and Hester Lilly and Other Stories. I also have Minnie's Room: The Peacetime Stories of Mollie Panter-Downes by Mollie Panter-Downes. Choices choices...

Brenda (gd2brivard) | 1270 comments I know... when I first saw Tracey’s list it seemed a bit daunting, but it’s already becoming...how to narrow it down. It may turn into an “eenie, meenie,, miney, mo” for me.

I am going to go with Bliss & Other Stories by Katherine Mansfield
I read her story The Garden Party last year and thought it was excellent.

Clarissa (clariann) | 61 comments I have just finished a collection of some Edith Wharton's stories and was struck afresh by her talent. I will have to read some more of her full length novels...when I get time in my reading schedule.
