The City Baker's Guide to Country Living - finished Jan-5This was a lot of fun. It is almost like a book about Sookie from Gilmore Girls. Not really, but kind of. One-sitting read.

I read this book last year. I also thought it was cute and fun.
5.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings - finished Jan-23Been meaning to read this one for a long time. It was very good, though quite raw. Love Angelou's poetry, so it was interesting learning more about her life.
6.
The Late Bloomers' Club - finished Jan-25This was just okay. I enjoyed it enough to finish it, but wouldn't particularly recommend it.
8.
Displacement - finished Jan-26A young girl experiences the past as she is interned in the same Japanese internment camp as her grandmother's family during WWII.
9.
On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century - finished Jan-27Excellent little treatise on Tyranny.
11.
The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America - finished Jan-30Highly recommended if you are interested in the history of race politics in the US.
13.
Crazy Rich Asians - finished Feb-4Lots of fun though quite crude at times. I really liked the movie.
14.
Starting Over at Acorn Cottage - This was a weird combination of Hallmark and racy. It didn't really work for me.
16.
Miss Moonshine’s Emporium of Happy EndingsRead this on Kindle Unlimited and it was a cozy collection of short stories. No uncomfortable content, either!
17.
Amberwell - finished Feb-17I have read the second book in this duology many times so it was fun to read the first.
21.
China Rich Girlfriend - finished Feb-21Even though this series is utterly ridiculous it is so fun to read. Still a little crass at times.
22.
The House with Chicken Legs - finished Feb-22Meh. I love Baba Yaga stories but the protagonist was so angsty and full of deceit that it was painful to finish. I only did bc it's middle grade fiction and it doesn't take very long to read it.
23.
Garlic and Sapphires: The Secret Life of a Critic in Disguise - finished Mar-11Read this with a family book club and thoroughly enjoyed it!
25.
Five Little Peppers and How They Grew - finished Mar-17I had been wanting to read this for a very long time. It was really sweet! I would have loved this as a child.
26.
Looking for The Stranger: Albert Camus and the Life of a Literary Classic - finished Mar-25This was a nice complement to reading The Stranger for book club—it definitely enhanced my appreciation!
29.
The Bright Book of Life: Fifty-Two Novels to Read and Re-Read Before You Vanish - finished Mar-29
30. The New York Times: Right at Home: How to Buy, Decorate, Organize and Maintain Your Space - finished Mar-29
31.
Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats - finished Mar-29I'm not really a cat person, but I have enough experience with cats to find this fairly funny. Some outdated cultural / racial terms & stereotypes so not something to give kids without some context.
35.
Sh**, Actually: The Definitive, 100% Objective Guide to Modern Cinema - Apr-1Silly, irreverent, and fun.
40.
The Poetry Remedy: Prescriptions for the Heart, Mind, and Soul - finished Apr-6A nice anthology of poetry—a great introduction to those who may consider themselves poetry-adverse.

Update Apr-2:
My next goal is to not summit White Plume Mt. before May.
Update Mar-2:
I did it! I didn't climb Mt. Crumpit before March :) Strange goal, but I think it helped me to keep my pace on my Physical TBR. My next goal is to be higher on my Physical TBR (Just finished #18) than I am on my Virtual TBR (finished #22). I'm very close, so maybe in the next week or two! *fingers crossed*
Update Feb-22:
Okay, so pretty sure I will not be able to avoid climbing Mt. Crumpit before March... but I am still meeting my physical TBR goal so I guess I'm just going to accept it... ha!
Update Feb-1:
Welp, clearly I am not prioritizing my physical TBR enough. I think my new goal is to NOT climb Mt. Crumpit before March!
I'm prioritizing my physical TBR for 2021 but I have some books on my virtual TBR that are aging and I want to read them or let them go. Hopefully I don't cannibalize my other challenge too much.
