This week I'm reading Rebound and Final Shot by V. L. Locey.

I have just started Brazen and the Beast by Sarah MacLean and after I plan to read book 3 in the series, I really hope I like them... I don't know what I will read next.

I'm listening to Penny Reid's Winston Brothers series and just started book #3 Beard Science. I'm actually enjoying the listen more than the read. :-)

I read on a Nook app on my phone and they are having a tech problem and I can’t access any of my library. As soon as it comes back I’m reading the new Megan Whalen Turner.

Unpopular opinion time: I feel that Daring and the Duke was really meh... I couldn't connect to either character so I skimmed it to get to the end of it.
I am reading Lies and Lullabies by Sarina Bowen now. Wish me luck 🤞

I liked it, it didn't blow me away, but it worked with my mood. It felt a bit like a regular hot chocolate that makes you feel good, but it's nothing special. I'm thinking of reading book 2 in the series, though I haven't liked the other Devney Perry book I read before.


I hope they resolve the BN problem soon. I can't imagine not being able to get to my books...

I read the first book in the series and gave it 3 stars which, while passable, is pretty low for me. The subsequent books haven't appealed to me either so I wasn't necessarily surprised by your 'meh...' 😉

I thought Lies and Lullabies was OK, although it felt like a mash up of a couple of her other books :D. I've checked out the next book in the series but like you, I'm not a huge fan of Devney Perry, so I haven't rushed to start it.

I've like some Devney Perry stories but I've also disliked some.

I wasn't sucked in to come back for more in this series, to be honest.

Stacy and Chocolatesoup I felt the same way about her books, but I just finished this one and it really worked for me. It's poignant and I liked it. I would have wished for them to be more open about their wishes and just gone for it, but it worked.

I am starting the last one now and I don't think I've ever read Rebecca Yarros. It's interesting to see how other authors see the characters the others have flashed out.

Good to know, Aly. I've been hesitant to buy the rest, but if you recommend, I'll definitely give them a go ... after I get through the pile of ARCs I find myself snowed under. ;-)

From what I heard online, if you try the nook app thingie on your phone it should work. They still have problems with the eboook readers, or they had.
