42 books, 55 bonus points, 475 points total

I have 5 hours left on my last book, but I'm sure I'll get it done. I do have to work tomorrow, but the project I'm working on right now is designing our financial statement templates. I have my data identified and just have to set up the coding and formatting in the morning, so I can listen to an audiobook at the same time. Fun, huh?

I'll update the spreadsheet before I leave the house and again when I get home in the evening. Goodreads is blocked at work, but I do check progress on my iPhone. This has been a good team!

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 1090 comments Carolyn, don't forget to post your finishes in the reporting thread. Can you tell us the author of the book Memories that you read? I'm having trouble trying to link that for the spreadsheet. I

I'm still waiting for confirmation of Carolyn's Memories book so I can add that to the total.

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Just checking in to say I've only got about 75 pages left of Perla. That'll finish off the last bonus section! I'll be back soon :(

message 256: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Finished Perla! Now I'm off to bed with a book I set aside before the Toppler.

Really? I don't think most of the people in my office even know what Goodreads is... Not so popular in Switzerland.

I am half way through Mostly Harmless. I should be able to finish it before the end of the toppler.

I just finished A Small Indiscretion. Since I'll be going to work and won't have time to read another, this is my final book for this Toppler. I'll now pick up where I left off on The Captive by Marcel Proust, book 5 of 7 in his masterpiece "In Search of Lost Time."

I'll update the spreadsheet again when I get home this evening. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 1090 comments Happy Valentine's Day! I found my teddy bear Mr. Right, and we just celebrated our 43rd anniversary two days ago. I hope you've all found your own Mr. Right or will do so soon!

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I can't believe I finished a 4th book. It's just that the last 2 books I read were such fast reads! Will go report A Fistful of Collars now.

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Book covers to make our mystery date. These are the ones we used for the tasks. We can also use other books we read to create our date.

The Good Girl by Mary Kubica
The Edge of Reason (Bridget Jones, #2) by Helen Fielding
Tall, Dark and Deadly (FBI #1) by Lorie O'Clare
Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1) by Victoria Dahl or Memoirs Are Made of This by Swan Adamson
Taking The Fifth by J.A. Jance

Some of the heads can probably be used for eyes.
Heads: Perla by Carolina De Robertis A Small Indiscretion by Jan Ellison The King of Plagues (Joe Ledger, #3) by Jonathan Maberry Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables, #2) by L.M. Montgomery Stille zonde (Will Trent, #7) by Karin Slaughter Royal Holiday Bride (Mills & Boon Cherish) (Reigning Men - Book 6) by Brenda Harlen My Ántonia by Willa Cather Lucky Us by Amy Bloom The Tempest by William Shakespeare Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey

Eyes:

Torso: City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare or Ciudad de ceniza (Cazadores de sombras, #2) by Cassandra Clare Storm of Shadows (The Chosen Ones, #2) by Christina Dodd

Can someone double-check that I've not missed anyone. I am waiting for Carolyn to let us know which book she read for legs. She said Memories, but though I found several books with that title, none featured legs on the cover. J'mom, I asked that she post the author's name, but can you make a call on what to do for that one?

Edit to add: spreadsheet updated with Carolyn's finish.

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I went to her shelves and found this Memoirs Are Made of This by Swan Adamson , there's no date read entered, but it is on her read shelf, and I remember she said something about a chair.. It looks like this could be it. Let's go with it.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 1090 comments J'mom, I updated message 264 with Carolyn's finish. For the extra bonus, my last book, A Small Indiscretion also works for a head:
A Small Indiscretion by Jan Ellison
