Seeking Mr. Right (but will settle for Mr. Right Now)

Listopia has some very helpful lists - there's even one for legs turned in with red shoes :)
One of my favorite sites for finding books in certain settings is:
Locations:
http://bookssetin.com/BookSearch.aspx

Anyway, I'm giving some thought as to how to organize our spreadsheet, but I'll certainly have that done well before the Toppler begins. Here are some thoughts I had on books for the bonus tasks:

I'm also reading several series that could fit in, and I'll look for more selections later.

Ditto! I did a 180 on the expressway once. It was very frightening. And, like you, Theresa there were no cars near me when it happened.

J-mom could delete her message after I make a copy of it here, so I can go in and update the list.

Read a book with a pair of eyes -

Read a book with a torso, a frontal view -

Read a book set in Africa -

Read a book set in an alien world or on some type of spaceship -

Read a book that’s part of a series - lots of choice from the series challenge
Read an author that’s new to you -

Read a book from another participant’s tbr - suggest toppler (meaning short) books from your TBR. I am always up for something new.
I can probably read one or two books depending on their length.

That was scary! I've had it happen too so I can imagine your thoughts. I'm so glad it turned out ok.
Are you trying to get your Toppler Troubles out of the way now?

I've worked with spreadsheets for longer than some of you have lived, but this is my first time trying to share using Google Sharing. Can some of you test the link above? It should take you to the current version of the spreadsheet I'm building.
You won't be able to edit (so my formulas don't get changed by accident), but you should be able to see what our reading plans are as I get it updated. Each book will be added with a hyperlink that will take you to its Goodreads page when you click on it.
Once we start reading, I'll mark a "1" by each book finished, and the points should calculate automatically.

It looks wonderful!!

If everyone will include the links for books they plan to read, it will make it much easier for me to do the hyperlinks in the spreadsheet. I understand you can't do this with your iPhone, though.

I can only commit to 2 books this time. Can you remove Hyperion from the alien world task? It's nearly 500 pages and I don't think I can complete it in addition to the other 2 books I've committed to.
Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

I haven't decided the book yet but I can also take up the task - Romeo and Juliet – Read a YA book.

Human head - various options for this one
Pair of legs - also a couple of options
Set on an island - Catch-22
Part of a series - The Colour of Magic
Read a non-fiction - The Power of Your Subconscious Mind: One of the Most Powerful Self-Help Guides Ever Written! / The King's Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy
Book that takes place during a war - Catch-22
Book that features a royal character - The King's Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy
Biography, autobiography or memoir - The King's Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy
A classic - Catch-22

Looking at the spreadsheet, I can fill in these spots for the bonus tasks.
*Shoes
*Africa - I have a lot of Africa books, and Melissa said she'd use hers for Career.
*South America
*Canada
*Alien world/Space
Once we have all the bonus tasks filled we can read whatever we want. And it won't matter if tasks are read by more than one person.

If you still want to do that, go for it!

Beth ->
Carolyn -> 4, 2 tasks chosen
Debra -> 2, tasks chosen
Freya ->
Jmom -> 5, tasks chosen
Kirila -> 2, tasks chosen
Melissa -> down for 3
Pragya -> down for 1
Rebecca -> down for 2
Theresa -> 5, 2 chosen
Thing Two -> 2-3
Tory -> 2, tasks chosen
Wanda ->

but after you've found him, could you please contact us!

Sure, Tasha. I'm glad you like it.

I can read 2 or 3 depending on the length.

career/Africa-

human head-

Melissa, which career option would you choose for Lion in the Valley?

I'm seeing a lot of suggested books, and I don't want to spend too much time updating the spreadsheet until the team members lock in on books they really want to read. For now, I'm trying to pick up the books for the bonus points as those are mentioned.

Yes, but there are 2 career categories -
Read a book where a main characters has a job that you’d like your date to have
Read a book where a main character has a job that you don’t want your date to have
So...is Melissa into Archeologists, or a guy who loves digs a turnoff to her?

- Legs
- Craft
Hopefully our teammates that haven't indicated their books will be able to fill these.

Tomorrow I will look at the books I can read during the toppler and see which tasks they match. I spent the day snowboarding and then watching a movie with friends (Theory of Everything - it's very good, btw!) and now I cannot keep my eyes open...
