Naturally, there's a cheerleader that wants to "steal" him. Sigh. I read this in the late 2000s.

The Cheerleader is probably too old.Did this book look new when you read it?
Was the boy or the girl the main character? They were middle school age?
That was the book, actually. In fact, that is the cover I remember. I really appreciate your help. You identified four books for me!
