PROGRESS: 2/8♋
❎4. Read a book by an author who shares your sign (https://www.thefamouspeople.com/cance...)
Helen Keller/June 27, 1880: The Story of My Life: An Autobiography✔

1/3 COMPLETED
4. Read a book by an author who shares your sign.

Progress: 1/3
✅ (5) Read a book that begins with the same letter as your sign--Library of Souls

1/3 COMPLETED..."
I love LOVE the HP & the Half-Blood Prince! How about you?

Progress: 1/3..."
Did you like the Library of Souls? I finished reading the series a couple of months ago. Waiting eagerly for the 6th book now!

3/8 books read
√ 2. Read a book set or published within the month of your western sign - I am a Leo so the month of my sign is end of July through August...I read Vesper Flights which was published August 2020
√ 3. Look up your monthly horoscope for November and read a book with the central theme of that horoscope....My November 2020 horoscope said "Family Issues will arise" and I read City of Lost Souls which had plenty of family issues :)
√ 6. Read a book with your sign's number in the title - My Chinese symbol is the Ox and the Ox's lucky numbers are 1 and 4 or a combo of numbers containing those...I read - 11/22/63 It was quite a Chunker but very good!! :)

1/3 COMPLETED..."
I love LOVE the HP & the Half-Blood Prince! How about you?"
This was my first time reading the series, and tbh the Half-Blood Prince was my least favorite movie from the series, but the book was 10x better than what I expected and I really liked every part of it

3/8 books read..."
Bravo, Alison! Agree about 11/22/63 - what a hefty book!!

I hated the teenage drama, of course, but liked the part with Slughorn and the potions book! But there is no way I'd compare the books with the movies - the books are at a supreme level of awesomeness for me, having read the series umpteen times. I'm glad you enjoyed the book more than the movie (obviously)!

Technically complete at 4/3 prompts fulfilled with 3/3 books read.
I'll keep adding to it as appropriate.

2. Read a book set or published in one of the Chinese Zodiac years of your sign, or set or published within the month of your western sign. Published October 15, 2019 The Body: A Guide for Occupants
Since Scorpio spans part of October and part of November, I chose this October 2019 release for this prompt.
Since I am a mood reader, I'm having a hard time matching my moods with these prompts. They're hard for mood reading!

Capricorn (there's so many of us!)
https://www.yearly-horoscope.org/nove... - The Zodiac Killer by W.L. Knightly- "Given a golden opportunity to impress the FBI"

PROGRESS: 3/8♋
❎8. Read a book having to do with your sign's "ruling celestial body" (this could be extended to the gods the planets are named after, like if it's Mars, you could read a book involving a war).
Moon: On the Night of the Seventh Moon✔

4/8 books read...halfway there!! :D
√ 1. Read a book with your zodiac symbol/animal (western or Chinese, or both) on the cover or in the title (instead of the actual word readers can use like "goat" or "twins") - My Chinese Zodiac symbol is an Ox so I read The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox...I read the first book "Bridge of Birds" in this Kindle edition. It reminded me of the Princess Bride with Chinese mythology...I really did enjoy the adventures of Master Li and Number Ten Ox and will continue them next year in the next 2 books!

1. Read a book with your zodiac symbol/animal (western or Chinese, or both) on the cover or in the title (Capricorns, represent!)
Who Moved My Goat Cheese?
The protagonist befriends an elderly man who runs a goat dairy and, after his death, adopts his kid goat.
3. Read a book with the central theme of you November monthly horoscope (unhappy family relations). Things in Jars (initial tension between the Eames heir and his stepbrother)
Progress: 2/8

7. Read a book having to do with your sign's affiliated element Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow
This actually has most the elements in it related to magic, including my element (water), but fire is the predominating element if anyone else is looking for an elemental challenge.

4. An author who shares your sign (Seanan McGuire).
Every Heart a Doorway
What a surprise! Seanan McGuire and I share not only the same astrological sign (Capricorn) but also the same birthday!
Progress: 3/8

5/8 books read
√ 8. Read a book having to do with your sign's "ruling celestial body"...Leo's Celestial Body is the Sun!!: The Sun Down Motel...This was a great Mystery/Thriller with paranormal elements! I highly recommend it :)

Technically complete at 4/3 prompts."
Congratulations, Lynn! First to complete our challenge! The crystal ball shows lots of love and light in the year 2021 for you! :D

Oh, I’m a mood reader too, so I understand! But at the same time, I think you’re doing good enough, however, if you want me to downsize your goal, let me know! I don’t want you to feel bad if you aren’t able to accomplish your goal of 8. 🤞🏽

Capricorn (there's so many of us!)..."
I really want to copy a few of your book choices, but then I’m so behind this month with my reading that I can’t afford to do that! Well done on your progress!

I’ve suggested this book for buddy reading in December! Glad you liked it!

Noting down your birthday 😉 Btw, I’m so upset that I still haven’t started with Things in Jars, can’t wait to read all your spoilers!

Bravo, fellow Capricorn! Just 1 more book to go! :)

8. Read a book having to do with your sign's "ruling celestial body" (this could be extended to the gods the planets are named after, like if it's Mars, you could read a book involving a war). Thinking Pluto God of the Underworld as the tie in to this book about ghosts: Haunted Histories: Creepy Castles, Dark Dungeons, and Powerful Palaces
I ended up being a little disappointed in this one. It had me thinking ghost stories, and instead it was more castles and medieval life. Oh well.
Thanks for the encouragement, Trisha. I'm debating whether to change my goal or not, but today is only the 17th, and I'm halfway through, so I'm going to persevere for now :-)

You're not alone! I have read only one book this month and that doesn't even qualify for this challenge. :( Btw, 4/8 is really good! You got it, girl!

Oh, you will, I know! Great job so far! :)

If any one of you need revision of your goals, don't hesitate a bit; I want all of you to finish off your goals by the end of the month and have a feeling of accomplishment. All the best! :)
