Week #1 ~ Option 1
Dollars by Pepper Winters
Read: 9/10/20
Rating: 3 stars
Review:
This is the second in one of those series that MUST be read in order. The first book ended in a cliffhanger and this one picks up immediately where it left off. This book explores the early development of the difficult relationship between Pimlico and Elder. Elder wasn't in the first book much so with this one we learn more about him and what makes him who he is now, but still doesn't reveal all of his secrets. It held my interest well enough, but I feel like the story is dragging a bit. Once again ending on a cliffhanger, I do find myself wanting to see where it goes next, but I'm not compelled to seek it out IMMEDIATELY. If the following books don't pick up the excitement of the story, I'm not certain I'll be hanging in all the way to book 5.

You're fine Anna! There is a little wiggle room on this one in the first week. As long as you've got the selection post done you'll be fine if you need an extra couple of days.

I love these cozy little mysteries for a good, light, relaxing read. I like that this story still has some unexpected twists and turns. I thought the story was totally engaging and I liked Kit a lot.

I believe we get our new themes each Friday, but do you have a day/time for us to post our completion by?

You're right about the new themes being called each Friday, but when it comes to actual completion times, it's kind of fluid. As long as you don't get two books behind, your deadline is fluid until the FINAL week. If we want to "win" then all previous selections need to be completed as well as being first team to complete the final task.
Theoretically, I could post my selection for this week, but hold off on reading the book for several weeks as long as I was posting selections and completions for the weeks in between. So there isn't really a timed deadline that would make sense to put in the tracking thread. Am I making any sense?

I think because Susan is out because she did not post a selection prior to the reveal of this week's task. 🙁

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book but it was recommended to me a couple of times so I decided to read it. I actually liked the Murderbot. I liked the funny parts that the Murderbot kept saying.
I liked how she also wanted to just watch tv. Murderbot would fit right into society today. We can't do much of anything but watch tv or read books. I'm interested to read the next couple to see what Murderbot gets into.

Yes, you make perfect sense and that was very clear. Thank you, as that does give me some relief. Lately I've messed up on a couple challenge deadlines and that isn't cool on a team.

Kat is pretty good about letting you link to the Amazon kindle page in this situation, as long as it shows a page number for it. I know I've done that in her challenges before.

Review:
This was a cute end to the series. You don't have to read the other books to read this one. I couldn't figure out how they were connected until halfway through the book and then it clicked. I liked the relationship between Dean and Kat but I only gave it a 3 because at times Kat was very, very immature. I wanted to shake her at times. When she wasn't immature, the book was better. I was glad with how it ended. I actually realized after reading this one that I skipped more books than read in the series. Eventually, I'll go back and catch up.
No reason to be sorry!! I only put that up there to help me out. You have until Friday for the selection and even longer on completion!

💖 Review -Enjoyable read!
They say opposite attracts Everly was very uptight and had to be perfect to the extreme because of a bad experience in her youth. Wyatt was the complete opposite outgoing, fun didn't care what anyone thought about him. This story was intriguing with a lot of interesting twist and turns. I would definitely recommend this book.

I liked the story and the characters and the family feel of the book a lot but it was a little too short for my taste. The ending felt a rushed and there could have been more scenes with Henry and the kids so that we could have gotten a feel of them as a family. Otherwise, it was a good read and I'm definitely going to give the rest of the series a shot!

I've heard from Susan and she is fine - she was just unable to access to the internet whilst looking after grandkids.
Given you had one team member more than all the other teams, I've reallocated Susan to team 1. So all good :)
