one of the biggest problems is that, most people who do this are people who either grew up or had parents grow up in that era in the suburbia where diversity wasnt even a thing. they didnt think that era was bad because they didnt see anything that was happening. they knew nothing about the struggles.
Exactly! And it's a problem in being the fact that it still holds people back to this day. For example: black children are exponentially more likely to die by drowning than white children, exclusively due to segregation in community pools in the fifties.
