I'm shivering in my basement, wondering about whether or not this is all pointless. He tells me to stay, that I'm not selfish and not a waste of time. I think he lies.
I wish I knew if he believed what he was telling the truth. I think he thinks it's the truth. It's not, but he believes so.
I'm lost to the world. I'm a little girl who used to be young and sweet and innocent and now I don't know where to turn, and life screwed me over. Innocence was lost. No one comes out of the world innocent.
I'm wondering if I'll come out with blood on my hands. I wonder what my funeral will be like.
I really hate funerals. A bunch of people crying and saying they lost their best friend, when most of them didn't even know the person lost. People stand and give stories and tales but they never tell the truth. Why do they lie about the dead?
Funerals, of course, are not for the dead. They are for the living to try and remember that they're in a better place. The lies return.
