Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I finished Dear Mr. Holmes: Seven Holmes on the Range Mysteries last night and just reported it.

On to Cajun Fried Felony when I get home from work after noon.

Will have to take a break to drive my car over to the mechanic to drop it off for the air conditioner repair. I'm glad it's overcast today because I won't have the hot sun beating on me while I'm driving the car.

If you can, try to get the audiobook. The author narrates it and he's amazing. Also, he is a comedian and that comes through a lot in the book. He had me laughing out loud a lot.

LOL, so true. Just have to remember to bring my Kindle along and probably my headphones. Can you drive with headphones on? That's probably against the law. Hopefully, the audio will be loud enough in spite of all the noise associated with driving.

I've been looking at the score sheet and I think on Thursday as we start getting limited on hands and where to place new books read (that is actually a good thing) I will probably have to start really flip flopping books to get the hand complete bonus points. Just don't want anyone to take it personally if I move your book around. ;)

No Worries, Lori Z. Were you still planning on reading I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced? I can place it in a card further down in the hands if you are not sure you will get to it, or remove it completely. Whatever works for you..

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I finished Cajun Fried Felony and will be starting on The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian when I get home from work.

Jayme, it's great you are looking at what can be swapped around to improve our strategy. Just let me know if you need me to read anything in a different order. I'm flexible.

Also, let me know if you need me to gopher for a spot. I don't mind switching books if needed.

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments Ok, Jayme, I found a book for reverse for Hand 6. It's It's Like This, Cat and Anna has read it. It's a very short book, thankfully. Let me know if you want to switch around the remaining books I have on the spreadsheet.

Book fits:

0 - standalone
5 - Title starts with an I
8 - Author's first name starts with an E
9 - Author's last name starts with an N
Skip - MC is under 18
Reverse - Anna read it

Are you still planning on reading Spinoraus and Captain Blood? I don't want to pressure you to read another book.
I heard back from Lori Z and Anna and I have both read I am Nujod, so we could swap books around for the reverse in hand 6 if we need too.

If you do get to it it will fill the reverse and several other options in hand 6 - but no pressure.

Great! I know I'm also reading faster than I thought I was going to. I have 2 more books as possibilities for my 7th book just waiting to see how much time I'll have left to complete it since one is longer than the other and what cards we need to fill.

Amanda | 1800 comments Finished Dead End faster than I thought I would. I've been working on that series since November and put this one on hold at my library before it was released, and it feels nice to finish the series.

Jayme, the Sinful Ladies are great for when you just need to relax with a fun book! I wish my hold on Swamp Sniper would come in - I could use a lighter read.

Jayme | 4555 comments @ Amanda - My library has just notified us that we can pick-up our holds. My pick-up day is Friday. To bad it wasn't Monday. I have 10 books on hold!

@ Anna - I am so envious that your reads have been good. I've been reading books I've had on my bookcase, but just never got around to them since they don't fit any challenges. The Sinful Ladies have been the exception. I am liking my current read though.

Total Update:
Books; 28
Pages: 7766
Points: 335
Hands Complete: 1

If anyone is planning on reading more books, we need to focus on completing hand 6 before we can get points for hand 7. The other hands will be complete by the end of the week.
I am going to read The Cat of Yule Cottage: A Magical Tale of Romance, Christmas and Cats to pick-up one of the card 5s. And another one for card 0 or card 9 depends on how much time is left (one book is longer than the other). I've already started to switch cards around, but I am a little worried about that other card 5 in hand 6.
