There was a proposal in my most recent read, but it wasn't for an actual marriage. The MCs are students and there's this thing where you can propose to your friends to be their "college wife/husband" - it's a huge thing and they take it pretty seriously and the proposal scene was quite elaborate.Do you think that works for the proposal task?

Hi Sunshine. This is a NO from me, as this is clearly an autobiography/memoir and does not really fit into the explanation you gave.
I agree with Melinda - I've used Amazon's handy look inside thing and it doesn't really fit what I'd consider "oral history".
