Yay, great timing! :)

I was going to sit this one out cause I generally don't like thrillers but my library has it available right now... maybe I'll give it a shot, I've heard really good things.

Ora (oeamis) I am hoping it will be good. Just finished a short book only because it has a chipmunk on the cover otherwise I would have passed on it. I really need something good to read today.

Maddy, try the Agatha Raisin : the complete BBC radio drama collection. It's hilarious, much better than the books. :)

message 578: by Maddy (new)

Maddy | 2127 comments I just might :)
The book was not so great. Maybe dramatization would be better :)

I read quite a few, despite not liking them that much (I got them as presents).
BBC dramatised 6 of them, and they are so good and very funny with superb British cast.

Enjoy might be too strong a word. I use them a lot for challenges because they are fast reads. Agatha has to grow on you. :)

message 581: by Maddy (new)

Maddy | 2127 comments Yeah, well it hasn't grown on me yet ;D
maybe next time ;D

Ora (oeamis) I have a question for Read a book featuring a hobby (e.g. knitting / baking / hiking)

I am trying to figure out what task to I want to use for Lover Enshrined.
Cormia (FMC) is a Chosen and was never taught about individuality. After Phury takes her back to the brotherhood's house she discovers she likes making buildings out toothpicks and little peas. Would that work for hobby featured?

message 583: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Just curious how many more "tags" this round? I have found a lot of Elin Hinderbrand books tagged beach. I am listening to her books as I get them from my library. I guess I am curious because now that I have started my reread of BDB I find I just want to binge read it.

Ali | 99 comments I'm in a bit of a reading slump trying to finish up a few probably 3 star reads. Anyone have a recommendation (preferably available on Scribd) to boost my reading? I generally read fantasy, thrillers, historical fiction, and romance (not overly erotic).

I just did a compare on our books and there are some that I would recommend that you have not read that I really enjoyed. I do not know if they are on Scribd, though. They are in no particular order.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston - a light fast MM read.
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid - I really enjoyed this and it wasn't my typical read.
The Bear and the Nightingale (Winternight Trilogy, #1) by Katherine Arden - This combines fairy tale, fantasy, and historical fiction. The characters were flawed and wonderful.
The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1) by Marie Rutkoski - It's been a while since I read this but it was easy to read even if the topic was a little darker.
Ancillary Justice (Imperial Radch #1) by Ann Leckie - this is not an easy book to read as the writing takes a bit to get used to, but it is very well written and one of my favorite Science fiction fantasy novels.
