No, I won't finish it. I am working my way through Life of Pi, which hasn't captured my attention yet. I had intended to start Sun Down today, but that's not likely to happen now. If it fits for N, I will add it to round 3.

My audiobook that I am currently listening to is also tagged as "creepy" , so that will cover 2/10 tags.

Shannon O'Flynn | 630 comments I finally cried myself through Five Feet Apart. The last 100 or so pages were a bit of a struggle lol

Donna (dkflynn33) | 2715 comments Round 3 tab is up for those who want to plan books for it.

Lol, it did take me a few (various) hours of pause to grieve and digest this book (I never got to completing my review of it)... and then I picked another book, a really happy and funny one - Play :)

message 308: by Shannon (new)

Shannon O'Flynn | 630 comments @Lauren please make sure you add "Nottingham: The True Story of Robyn Hood" to your wheel 5 shelf so we can add it to the list.

message 309: by Keli (new)

Keli | 1319 comments My book last book is going to be down to the wire close. I don't think I will have it finished by noon EST. I will probably be closer to the 3pm deadline. So I can either try my damndest to finish for tomorrow after noon. Or I can carry it to the next week. As it's I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer, it will definitely work. It's just whatever is easier for you capitans.

message 310: by Keli (new)

Keli | 1319 comments Also, my version of Angels Blood was the audible, so I used the main book page count but I didn't know if you needed me to mention that anywhere on the SS.

Ok...so the challenge officially ends @5
Not sure about the other captains availablity, but I’ll set my alarm for 3pm for any last minute finishes.

We are due with entries by 5..if we have to switch or reconcile that leaves enough time

As long as you note audio with your post, we know to check the default pg count.

message 327: by Donna (new)

Donna (dkflynn33) | 2715 comments Team, I'm sorry I am not very observant lately. I gave you a link the actual Goodreads librarian group last week. However, I didn't notice that there was a group of librarians fixing things over in the captains area. It is probably quicker to fix books that way. If you need a book added or a page count updated or anything like that, just give us a shoutout here. We can get it fixed quicker over there.

message 328: by Shelby (new)

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1978 comments Hello my lovely people! Hope you're having a wonderful time with this challenge, I know I am. Thought I'd stop by and ask for some recommendations as this new round kicks off. Would love recommendations in the Fantasy or Romance genres (sub genres of both are great!).

Hi Shelby,

I really enjoyed:

~ Eagle Elite series by Rachel Van Dyken. (It is a little bit of romance and a little bit of mafia crime. )

~ Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. (This is 100% sweet romance.)

~ Chesapeake Bay Saga by Nora Roberts (This 4 book series follows 4 brothers.)

message 330: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) | 1377 comments I logged 3 books -- unfortunately they were left from last week and only work for one letter. But now I'm on to this week and I'll try to pick books with letters it looks like we will need more.

@Shelby, if you haven't read Ilona Andrews -- all of their books have a great combo of fantasy and romance.

message 331: by Tammie (last edited Jul 11, 2020 08:34AM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments In addition to what's already been recommended...I suggest the
Night Huntress Series
Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
Immortals After Dark
Fever

Some have classified these as 'cozy'...they are 'light hearted/entertaining PNR Romance
The Case Files of Dr. Matilda Schmidt, Paranormal Psychologist Series
Nocturne Falls

Rebecca (radf) | 1087 comments Do you have KU? I can’t think of the name of the series but the author is Victoria Danaan. Decent vampire series. I’m enjoying it but need to get back to it. The first three were good

Anything by Fredrik Backman, Mariana Zapata, J.R. Ward or Alice Clayton...I love them all!
I just finished Dear Martin...I definitely recommend that book. It's short and meaningful.
