Ugh! OK. I’ll change it. Thanks Laura and Alysa!

Laura | 5524 comments Just a heads up:

Michelle will probably be posting soonish a time we need to have our round 1 books done by. The Countdown I posted is actually the check-in deadline, at which point our spreadsheet will be locked, so we need a bit of time to get our books checked/verified and everything transferred to the main one.

I like our next word. Not a lot of 1 letter. I have a book for D, Y and I already. 😀

Yodelling? Oh, no! So many vowels (& L’s)! LOL.

message 312: by [[ Frankie ]] (new)

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments Laura, do I need to post a legit completion post here in the thread? Or is it okay if I just do like I’ve been doing & post the necessary info on the planning sheet? I don’t mind posting a completion post here, too, if I need to... but if I didn’t need to, I wasn’t gonna worry about it.

message 313: by Geri (new)

Geri [[ Frankie ]] wrote: ". Yodelling? Oh, no! So many vowels (& L’s)! LOL."

LOL We had the opposite reaction. I don’t mind Ls. What I don’t like are short words. Less letters, less chance a book will work.

message 314: by [[ Frankie ]] (new)

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments I’m gonna squeeze in a short book for that last Z we have, too. Now to go see which task I’m gonna use it for. :p

I don’t mind L’s as much as I mind all those vowels.😂

Laura | 5524 comments Frankie, just putting the completion date on the spreadsheet is fine. We check it daily and verify the books to make sure everything is fine. :)

It could be worse. We could have gotten PUB QUIZZING! That's what Team Hobbit had first round, and for second round they get ISLAND HOPPING!

message 319: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments Nobody panic! I'm moving things to the main spreadsheet, and then I'll organize our unfinished books into what we have left! :)

message 320: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments On the official spreadsheet we have:

3 complete spell-outs
1 just waiting for T & O

We have 1 complete spell-out planned, and one that only needs P & E.

I'm hoping to get one more book in, in addition to the ones I have on the planning spreadsheet.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments I have the following books that im adding to the spreadsheet....

The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz, Erik Larson -that will take care of the "T" or "E" 585 pages 06/23/20 and The 18th Abduction, James Patterson...which takes care of "T", "P" or "E". 383 pages 06/24/2020

message 322: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments Sallie, will you be able to finish both of those by Friday, 1:00 Pacific coast time?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments they are finished...I was going to add them to the spreadsheet but it is read only....so I will place them on my shelf now if someone who has access could add them for me please....

message 324: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments The official spreadsheet is only for the captains to edit, but you can add them to the planning spreadsheet. I can add them for you in a bit, but what tasks do you want to use them for?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 775 comments Laura wrote: "The official spreadsheet is only for the captains to edit, but you can add them to the planning spreadsheet. I can add them for you in a bit, but what tasks do you want to use them for?"

give me a bit and I will look - I was just excited to add almost 600 pages with one book lol

thank you - I seriously forgot about the planning spreadsheet...add the The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz - this will cover #22, black cover and The 18th Abduction will fit #7, two different timelines....starts off in the present then goes back 5 years and by the end of the book we are current again.

I’ll have my O & my Z finished before the deadline!

message 329: by Alysa (new)

Alysa H. | 3840 comments I am still on track to finish my remaining two books, but just in case I don’t have enough time (things a little nuts IRL right now), I will try to focus on my T book first, since it’s got the final tag bonus.

The other book is an O that can just be moved to next week’s word if I don’t manage to finish it. I should know for sure either way by early Friday morning. :)

message 330: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (govmarley) | 3150 comments Hi everyone! So we have 1 day 17 hours roughly before our spreadsheet gets LOCKED for editing. That means we will need a little time to get your final books moved from the planning sheet to the official sheet. Please try to have all books completed and posted on the planning sheet or in this thread no later than 1 hour before the deadline.

End of round countdown is here:
https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...
Be sure you take the time zone difference into account when getting your final books posted! I'm on the west coast of the US, so it is an 8 hour difference for me (2pm Friday).

As you are finishing up those final books, start planning for word #2:
Word: Yodelling

Four spell-outs done, almost done with the 5th. Go team go! We can finish a 6th spell out if we all complete our books.

Alysa H. | 3840 comments I have a little bit left of Outcast to finish in the morning.
My eyelids are closing. 🥱

I am having a small freak-out about which of my Round 2 book I should start first, and whether I try to do more tagged books instead of just 2-3, in case y’all have trouble finding stuff, but I will literally go sleep on it... 😴
