I agree with you on that, Shari Kay. I couldn't believe they let that fester for 18 years without getting her help. Loved the book but really questioned that scenario.

That was the one thing that bothered me too.

I finished Up From the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, the final book in the Night Huntress series, and loved it. There were a few surprises and the ending was unexpected. Now I can finally read Vlad's most recent book. Here's my review.
Still in a catching up mood so I'm reading Fast Track by Julie Garwood, Buchanan-Renard #12. This will bring me up to date in the series.

It it actually hard for me to picture the characters in the In Death Series. When I am reading the book I do not necessarily imagine what they look like. I am usually so connected to the story itself. But when McNabb compliments Peabody, my image of her is an attractive one. She has such a beautiful personality, and i therefore think of her as beautiful especially when McNabb calls her "she body. "
I finished this earlier, Breaking Silence by Linda Castillo, Kate Burkholder #3, and here's my review.

I'm one book behind you in that series. Definitely getting back to it next month. I miss Harry:)

I just finished Fast Track by Julie Garwood, Buchanan Renard #12, and it was just okay. A good story that failed to connect emotionally. Here's my review.
I'm now reading the last book in the Last Chance Rescue series, Chances Are by Christy Reece.

Blood Cross, Jane Yellowrock #2
Fair Game, Alpha & Omega #3
Frost Burned, Mercy Thompson #7
Destined for an Early Grave, Night Huntress #4
Branded by Fire, Psy/Changeling #6
Circus of the Damned, Anita Blake #3
First Drop of Crimson, Night Huntress World #1
Night Broken, Mercy Thompson #8
Sworn to Silence, Kate Burkholder #1
All but the last are from the UF genre which I find so creative, at least with this group of authors. They have interesting 'stuff' for everyone. Gonna do better reporting now that I'm caught up.

Felt the same. Both drove me nuts.

This is a series that should be read in order. Honestly, our comments are really about the book in comparison to the others in the series. It's not bad, just not on par with the others.
The first book in the series is Rescue Me and is very good. The next is even better, and so on.

She has one trilogy under the pseudonym Ella Grace. It's called Wildefire and each book begins with "Midnight." She launched a new series last year called Grey Justice. I've read them all and enjoyed them.
Warning...her stuff is highly addictive:)

I finished Chances Are by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #10, the final book in the series. I enjoyed it and sad to be at the end. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Secret Harbor by Anna Sullivan, Windfall Island Trilogy #3.

There's a great line in the first chapter describing the narrators love of mysteries:
It was a kind of hunger that took hold of him, a craving for a special food, and he would not stop until he'd eaten his fill.

I wasn't sure about the Kate Burkholder series and now I can't get enough! The audiobooks are great.

I have so many Karen Rose books waiting for me to read. I have only read one so far and really liked it.

I finished Say My Name by J. Kenner, Stark International #1, narrated by Abby Craden. Despite the many moments of angst and melodrama, heightened by the narrator, I ended up liking the story, enough that I'm now listening to the second book in the series, On My Knees. Go figure:)

Finished Rose's
- another great read!! Good mixture of suspense & romance. Loved these characters. Die For Me is up next for me!

You're whipping through Jack Daniels! I'm bummed that my library no longer has the audiobooks.
