I agree we should read series in order. I know sometimes it doesn’t matter, but I always wonder if I’m missing something.
We should read series in order. More often than not there is character development or important plot chsnges.

Sometimes the first book is a bit of a dud, for that reason I vote that the first one or two books could be skipped. Also if a series is very old, the earlier books might not be easy to find.I don’t think it would make any difference to the enjoyment of the later books.

I think you're right, but for me personally, I just can't do it. I have to start with book one or it itches my brain.
I agree with the previous comments, I prefer to read series in order.
