I really enjoyed participating in this challenge. Unfortunately, I got lazy and stopped adding my numbers when we reached the goals (about 3 months ago?). I say, push it up, 1.5 million. I really think we can do it! :)

There were some other math errors further back.

I think we can hit 1,300,000 next year. We were very close this year. If we got more members to participate, we could pass 1.5 million pages.

I'd say start a new thread for 2016 though, asap. Something else that might help get readers to participate would be to make sure the box that says "Add to my update feed" is checked each time. This is a good way for friends and friends of friends to contribute. I'm so looking forward to this!

There are still many entries in the library w/o page # or with errors in this field so if you see any and don't want to go over the librarian group thread - I know there are some librarians also in this group here and I'm sure if we would pull together and enter/correct the field we could reach even a higher target since all those that provide the GR stats pages don't usually get the correct numbers :-(

As long as I don't have a job I'm willing to invest at least one hour per day additionaly to the library work I do now for the GR library

Just for fun I checked your read books and your list looked great (compared to mine last week) there was only one book missing page # (I just added it - The Ties That Bind) but 13 rated are missing the read date, which usually means they are not considered read this year and another four were neither rated, have a read date nor review text - I suppose they are just in the wrong folder. (BTW it's no critisism - just stating the facts)

I'm extremly impressed that you managed to write a review for each book you read - you are my new hero and I'll try to model myself on you in this area - I think I'll break with my no New Year's resolutions tradition and make this year one. My goal for this year is to write reviews at least for half the books I read - I don't want to push to hard in the beginning ;-)

Goodness, I hadn't realised such detail was involved! I myself am reluctant to take it down to the nitty gritty, but if some of you guys are happy to do so, then that's great! I think Autumn is a librarian too so this is very much her domain as well. Though I think she wanted to keep this as a mostly fun thing to do.

I'll set up this year's new thread and a new target and we'll take it from there. Ideas are always welcome as you know guys and input much appreciated.

Yes, I do try to review pretty much every book I read now, I quite enjoy it, when the words flow! Which isn't always, but thanks for saying.

Way to go Karen - You do not need to list out all the books unless you really, really, really want to.

I gave up on listing mine earlier in the year because I just had too much going on and it would be weeks in between posts. Adding the total is just fine.

As Agnieszka said, it is supposed to be fun.

I do some additional tracking for the thread in an excel spreadsheet, but that is because I am a number junkie - then I can post averages, and percents, and all that nerdy stuff :)
