Trisha, can you explain this book a little? You said you'll read a story per day. I saw that this has books 1-11? Is it like The Odyssey and the chapters are called books or are there actually that many books within the 500 plus pages? If you have the book already, approximately how long is each "book"? LOL

Vicki, I can answer at least part of your question! The Bane Chronicles are part of the Shadowhunter World so it's related to the Mortal Instruments (City of Bones series) and The Infernal Devices (Clockwork Angel series) Each "story" that Trisha is talking about is basically a novella. I'm not sure how many pages each is because I'm on my way for work but I can check later if nobody answers by then!

Each story is about 50 pages. I was told they take place in between both series. So, if that is true than you should be okay if you haven't read both series of books.

I saw a review that said this book has SPOILERS for both series so don't read it unless you've read those series.
so...I would say No Vicki. You probably want to wait to read the series first......

What really happened in Peru

I've loved him since he first appeared in the Mortal Instruments books and I love him now
his banter is hilarious
I love that he tried to play that instrument and everyone was going out of their mind! LOL

What Really Happened In Peru

(view spoiler)[Like a lot of people I adore Magnus. He is so funny. I found that his adventures in this book were entertaining. However, I thought that the way the story ended was not so funny. I did find it funny how his friend Ragnor kept going with him even though he kept telling him he wouldn't go back. (hide spoiler)]

I did like this story and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

The Runaway Queen

(view spoiler)[The adventures Magnus gets himself into are great. I really liked how he named the little monkey Ragnor after his buddy. It did suck that the Queen and King in the end didn't get away after all. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[This one is probably my least favorite as of right now. I did like how we got to meet Will & Tessa's son James. However, he was kind of a pain in the butt. I guess we shouldn't be surprised given who his father is. It did suck that the son James was in a love with a crazy girl. Although, that's because her mother is a real nut who is set on getting revenge. I did not blame Magnus for just up and leaving at the end. I wouldn't want to stick around and deal this this either. Alec sees Magnus as something so special and wonderful and I think that helps remind Magnus that he is not the horrible person people treat him like he is.
