MountainKat | 31587 comments Hi Nikitha, here are your picks! They are kind of all over the place, but from you lists it looks like you read lots of types of books. I also wasn't entirely sure if you shelves were complete since you had books from the middle of a series on your to-read shelf without the other books on your read shelf, so I might have given an extra option here or there. (For someone a bit OCD about reading books in order, I can't imagine you want to start in the middle! 😂)

1. The oldest known pet cat existed 9,500 years ago
NEW: Royally Screwed by Emma Chase - Loved this one!
TBR: Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh - Amazingly good series!

2. Cats spend 70% of their lives sleeping
NEW: Repeat by Kylie Scott - So, so good!
TBR: Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas - Lucky you! I wish I could read this series again for the first time!!

3. A cat was the Mayor of an Alaskan town for 20 years
NEW: Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey or Hope Smolders by Jaci Burton - The first is more humorous and the second more sweet - both are very good!
TBR: Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis - I wish I could live in Lucky Harbor! Such a fun town and series!

4. The record for the longest cat ever is 48.5 inches
NEW: Cake by J. Bengtsson - Loved this!
TBR: Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts - Longest book on your to-read shelf and you can't go wrong with Nora Roberts! Also FAC for June in the Monthly Challenge!

5. The richest cat in the world had £7 million
NEW: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley - Love this book and series!
TBR: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison - Amazing world!

6. Cats walk like camels and giraffes- Their walking sequence is both right feet first, followed by both left feet, so they move half of their body forward at once. Camels and giraffes are the only other animals to walk this way!
NEW: A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole - Another great series!
TBR: Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews - I'm almost finished with this series! ☹️

7. Isaac Newton invented the cat door
NEW: Dance Away with Me by Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Heroes Are My Weakness - Seems we both love SEP! The first is her new one that comes out early in June, if that isn't available the second is a good option!
TBR: Conspiracy in Death by J.D. Robb - Love Roarke and Eve!

8. In 1963 a cat went to space
NEW: Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt - Hilarious!
TBR: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston - So good - I just finished it! It was almost, but not quite, 5 stars for me!

I don't know if you like audiobooks or not, but I've listened to almost all of these books and would say that most if not all were better in audio for me! 😊

Connie (Rain Check and Read) (raincheckandread) I'm new, and I'd love to be in! I had a wonderful, fluffy, fat cat named Oliver who passed away. I adopted him from a no-kill cat shelter and had him for many years, so I'll say Oliver.

I am totally in for this if I can still join! Here is my list, though I am looking for new authors as well! I am new to the adult romance genre:

Hi Nikki!

Mony has kindly offered to pair up with you. I would usually have you wait until the 28th and assign you during re-picks but since she has already offered, why not. But you need to get your picks for each other posted by the due date- May 28th please!!

You can pick for Mony (you can pick a book to read from either set of picks) and Mony can pick for you.

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Kathy D,
I finished my first pick and it was good, as the hot romance between Eve and Roarke always is - lol. You were right, this was the next one I needed to read in the series, so I am not sure why it wasn't on my TBR list. But I have read it now, so thank you for the nudge to get to it. I love this series! Survivor In Death Survivor In Death (In Death, #20) by J.D. Robb

Finally got to one, Nayara!
I've been on the road since Saturday morning taking the kids to my family in Seattle and I got to listen to the audiobook of Hooking Up (Shacking Up, #2) by Helena Hunting . Really enjoyed it! I have a couple more I'm hoping to get to, but things have been a little nuts since we arrived and I haven't gotten to do much reading at all. Hoping to get to Sea Swept (Chesapeake Bay Saga, #1) by Nora Roberts and The Guy on the Right (The Underdogs, #1) by Kate Stewart this month at least!

Aiswrya | 2044 comments Hi Nikitha! I read Promised, Lord of War: Black Angel and Zack. Loved all of them! I'm waiting for my library to open to read a few other books :)

Thank you again for the awesome recommendations!! I would have loved to read more of the picks but I'm juggling too many challenges and it's so hard to find books that satisfy ALL the themes haha!

Trip (shardsofromance) | 2210 comments Hey Carrie! Thank you for the pick of The Kiss Quotient I really enjoyed it and would have probably stayed on my tbr for a while if not for being picked 😂

I also managed to clear up my tbr as realised some of these ya books I'm no longer into and so moved into appropriate abandoned shelf. Thank you!
